This tournament featured two semi-final 12-man cibernetico matches on September 3 and September 10, with the final on September 17. Due to Covid-19 having pushed back major shows for a year and a half, it took place on a much-delayed Homenaje a Dos Leyendas show instead of an Aniversario (which instead took place the following week).

2026
This year’s Copa was different in various ways; it was the first to feature the Amazonas division instead of the men, to be decided in a single night’s match (an 8-woman cibernetico), and to not be featured on the Aniversario card. Likely due to the CMLL 93rd Anniversario’s sudden shift in priorities (e.g. emphasis on CMLL vs AEW matches), and its culmination of a different multi-week “tournament” (for Los Hermanos Chavez’s CMLL World Tag Team Championship).
It was also unique in that it not only took place on Arena Mexico’s secondary weekly show, but on a special Wednesday edition of such. As to coincide exactly with Mexican Independence Day on September 16. The match itself followed an explicit CMLL vs Stardom theme, to further emphasise the patriotism.

Ironically, an American won for Team “Mexico”; Tessa Blanchard last eliminated Starlight Kid - who had won a similar cibernetico cup herself 2 days prior in Arena Puebla - with a Magnum to claim the trophy. And to build intrigue for their 4-way CMLL World Women's Championship match at the Aniversario 2 days later.
Copa Viva Mexico

The similar cibernetico that Starlight Kid had won 2 days prior in Arena Puebla, on September 14. Presumably named for the same holiday-week reasons as the main Copa, akin to how the Guadalajara Lucha de Naciones compliments the Gran Prix.
