The current champions are Abyss & Chessman. They defeated former champions Extreme Tiger & Jack Evans at Arena Monterrey during Heroes Inmortales 2011 on October 9, 2011.
History of Championship
The AAA World Tag Team Championship were introduced in 2007. It is not to be confused with the earlier AAA/IWC World Tag Team Championship, as the two are generally considered unrelated from one another.
6. NOAH's Atsushi Aoki & Go Shiozaki won the championship on May 23, 2010, defeating fellow NOAH duo Takeshi Morishima & Taiji Ishimori on a NOAH show.
