The 2020 CMLL Anniversario (CMLL 87th Anniversario) was held on September 25 in Arena México.
This Anniversario took place during the covid pandemic, so no fans were in attendance. To lend the show a gimmick & make it more enticing under the circumstances, every match was a title match with the challengers & card order being determined by fan vote. This birthed the Noche De Campeones concept, that would continue for years thereafter.
It also started an unofficial tradition of challengers with the most votes overall being rewarded with a modest push regardless, as became the case for Los AtrapaSueños.
