On March 10, 2023, Cuatrero was arrested on attempted femicide and domestic violence charges. A week before, Stephanie Vaquer had brought a domestic violence complaint against him. He was released from prison in March 2025 and finally returned to wrestling 3 years later in March of 2026, to the independent scene (as AAA had been bought out by Vaquer's new employer WWE during his incarceration).
