The son of WCW/ECW/WWF star Brian Pillman; was only four years old when his father died.
Before his arrival in WWE, the younger Pillman wrestled two matches in México, teaming up with fellow second-generation standout Davey Boy Smith Jr. to revive the Hart Foundation. Both matches for MLW Fusion took place at Auditorio de Tijuana and resulted in victory for the new Foundation; first on October 5, 2019 over Dragon Lee II and Extreme Tiger, and then on March 13, 2020 over Los Mercenarios (Texano Jr. and Rey Escorpión).
