Typically, this means that each team is composed of a técnico and a rudo wrestler, although there are exceptions (i.e. when 2 rudos or 2 tecincos are feuding between themselves). This match is regularly used to lead into an apuesta match, sometimes as an immediate pre-requisite to determine an Apuestas main event for the night (ala a Ruleta de la Muerte), in which case it is called a Relevos Suicidas. CMLL created its own National Parejas Increíbles Tournament using this format.
