The IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship is a NJPW championship, and has been defended almost exclusively there.

Only two Mexicans have ever won this championship:

Juventud Guerrera, who won it a controversial WCW, broke his arm in the same match, and never defended the title.
Mistico, who defended in in CMLL. Since the title was active in Mexico, his title history is listed below.
