Known elsewhere as a crossbody block, it's a chest to chest bodypress, usually performed on a standing opponents.

Usually done from the top rope, but can be done in any number of situations. A plancha to the outside is called Plancha Suicida. Rolling through a plancha to counter, pin, or - if strong enough - stand up whilst holding the aggressor is a fairly rote reversal. Mistico exploits this trope in-turn, regularly employing a springboard plancha from inside the ring (turning 180• in mid-air after leaving the middle rope) to set up La Mistica.

Can be done on equal footing to the opponent too, with a running start to provide the forward thrust in gravity’s stead. Atlantis Jr. uses this as a signature big spot, from the ramp & over the top rope. Heavier luchadors with enough athletic ability - such as Volcano or Skadi - may employ it as a signature move too, essentially performing a sudden no-hands powerslam with their weight. Like its diving counterpart it is occasionally used to reset or reverse a match’s momentum; e.g. two wrestlers attempting it at the same time & both wiping out, or the receiver backflipping it into a standing Moonsault Fallaway Slam (a signature reversal of Mike Bailey & Trevor Lee).

Corner Plancha

There is another version done while the opponents is seated on the corner. This version is usually performed by Sanely as a trademark move.
