Chamaco Valaguez Jr. used to work in [[CMLL]] occasionally, always as a early match tecnico. He had a very generic look and really didn't impress in the ring. In [[2007]] he was re-gimmicked as Nosferatu and has shown a little improvement while teaming with [[Euforia]] on a regular basis. Technically split up from Euforia when [[Los Cancerberos del Infierno]] were formed; Nosferatu was not included in the group for reasons never explicitly stated but implied to be about his conditioning. Lost weight in 2010, but vanished from CMLL in early 2011. Has been spotted on Cuernavaca area shows since. Brought back to CMLL in July 2012 but appeared to be low on totem pole. Disappeared again in early 2014 when CMLL added the [[Generacion 2014]] group.

Former CMLL wrestler Nosferatu (Javier Valaguez Jr., 46) passed away on Sunday. Valaguez’s was the son of [[Chamaco Valaguez]], who held multiple world championships. Both were from [[Cuernavaca]], which was a regular important weekly stop for [[CMLL]]. The main arena ([[Arena Isabel]]) was closed in 2009, after years of both declining attendance and declining quality of the building. Lucha libre in that city has never really recovered. Given his age, he likely grew up thinking he’d follow his father in being the local hero, and then the world changed on him. As Chamaco Valaguez Jr., he started in CMLL in 2005 – even teaming with his father a couple of times. He didn’t really make any progress under that name, leaving CMLL. He must’ve convinced people he was worth another shot, as [[Satanico]] brought him back in 2007 as part of a new version of [[Los Infernales]]. Valaguez Jr. donned a mask as Nosferatu, while the wrestler then known as Soberano Jr. became [[Euforia]]. Satanico recently (that decade) teamed with [[Ultimo Guerrero]] & [[Rey Bucanero]] as Los Infernales and [[Averno]] & [[Mephisto]] as Los Infernales, so the expectations were that Nosfeartu and Euforia were going to become significant people. It worked out for Euforia, although it took much longer to achieve. It did not really work out for Nosfeartu – he was OK, he lacked excitement and didn’t have an attribute that stuck out. (Satanico posted a short remembrance on Facebook, talking about Nosferatu being someone with great potential.) Euforia and Nosferatu did compete for the [[Arena Coliseo Tag Team Titles]] against Flash ([[Fuego]]) and [[Stuka Jr.]] a couple of times – the December 2008 match is probably the best Nosferatu match. They used a combination full nelson as their finish – one would put on the hold, the other would grab the victim by the legs and twist his body. Euforia actually broke that one out again out a few months back.

CMLL announced the formation of [[Los Cancerberos del Infierno]] in the fall of 2009, a unit lead by [[Virus]] with the re-gimmicked [[Raziel]] and [[Cancerbero]], recent bodybuilding contest winner [[Polvora]], and Euforia. Nosferatu was not included in the group, and CMLL did not give a reason why. Because it was 2009 and CMLL wasn’t as big at booking groups together, Nosferatu still teamed with those guys as a pseudo-member. It was still a big flag that CMLL had no plans with him. They had no plans for most of the roster in those days, to be fair, but while he was around until 2013, he wasn’t really doing a whole lot past that point. He disappeared from CMLL lineups in 2014. The name Nosferatu would appear on the occasional show back home in Cuernavaca past that point, but I believe he hadn’t wrestled since 2016. Nosferatu has two brothers, and I believe those were the ones wrestling as Dante Valaguez and Hijo del Chamaco Valaguez – only Dante has been mentioned on a Cuernavaca lineup this year.

Chamaco Valaguez Jr. used to work in CMLL occasionally, always as a early match tecnico. He had a very generic look and really didn't impress in the ring. In 2007 he was re-gimmicked as Nosferatu and has shown a little improvement while teaming with Euforia on a regular basis. Technically split up from Euforia when Los Cancerberos del Infierno were formed; Nosferatu was not included in the group for reasons never explicitly stated but implied to be about his conditioning. Lost weight in 2010, but vanished from CMLL in early 2011. Has been spotted on Cuernavaca area shows since. Brought back to CMLL in July 2012 but appeared to be low on totem pole. Euforia and Nosferatu did compete for the Arena Coliseo Tag Team Titles against Flash (Fuego) and Stuka Jr. a couple of times – the December 2008 match is probably the best Nosferatu match.
