He is a member of the Ciudad Juarez Hall Of Fame, having been inducted on May 26, 2023, shortly before his death. Trovador's name refers to a Troubadour, which was an 11th century poet in France, which he adopted because he liked to sing.

He won various "Northern" championships, over the likes of Olímpico, Bello David, Kuruneko and (in 1984 & 1985) Caudillo del Sur. He even allegedly beat Dr. Wagner for the "National Light Heavyweight Championship" (possibly during the former's first reign & its mysterious ending, if this refers to the Mexican National Light Heavyweight Championship).

Lost his mask to Rocky Star in a triangle match in the 1980s and became a journalist after retiring. Died after years of health issues, leaving behind children & grandchildren.
