Ovaciones note the passing of Polaris I (Jose Arguello Luna), a EMLL wrestle from the 70s and 80s. He was born in Perote, Veracruz, on January 25, 1946, and also wrestled under the names Pepe Luna and Dr. Macabro (where he lost his mask to Huracan Ramirez) during his 25 year career. He returned as Polaris in 1981, teaming with Los Bravos and Los Guerreros at times, and lost his mask to Climax II in Pista Arena Revolucion in May of 1986.

A victim of diabetes, José Argüello Luna, who wrestled as Polaris I, died on Friday, May 15, at the age of 63. He was born in Perote, Veracruz, and arrived in the nation's capital at the age of 15; his wrestling teachers were Chivo Martínez, Mario Sosa, El Scaramouche and El Cadáver.

He began his wrestling career at the Arena López Mateos, teaming with El Emperador, wrestling as Pepe Luna. Shortly after, he began a tour in Jalapa with Eraclis Fernali; later, he wore a mask as Dr. Macabro, and in 1976, he lost his mask to Huracán Ramírez. His career continued, now as Salvaje Luna, and he again teamed with El Emperador, until the duo Los Polaris I and II emerged. They were tag team champions of the state of Guerrero, and a few months later, the trio was completed with Polaris III.

In 1983, they debuted at Arena México: Los Polaris I, II, and III against Kahoz, Tierra Viento y Fuego, and Hara Kiri. He was a professional wrestler for approximately 25 years; after losing his mask to Climax at the Pista Revolución, he wrestled as Salvaje Luna. His retirement from the ring was quiet, without any farewells, in 1986. From that moment on, he dedicated himself to business. He had been suffering from diabetes for several years and began dialysis, until on May 15th, at 6:00 a.m., his heart stopped beating in a hospital in the south of the city.

His remains were laid to rest in the La Noria cemetery in Xochimilco. He had ten children. Among the wrestlers who attended were Plata and Polaris III. May he rest in peace.
