Los Panteras

Los Panteras refers a tag team/trio, a lucha family, and a second tag team/trio consisting of members of that lucha family.

The original tag team consisted of El Pantera I & Pantera II, with occasional involvement from a Pantera III (in at least 20 matches, spanning from 1986 to 2016, with his most busy period of 1989 ascribed to Jeque).

Pantera II went on to greater notoriety of the two, and thus became known as the definitive El Pantera over time. His sons entered lucha libre in the 20th century as El Hijo del Pantera & Pantera Jr., teaming with both him and one another.

Pantera II also had a third son, born circa-1996, who died in a car accident in late-September 2005.
