Los Espantapájaros
Los Espantapájaros are an occasional opening match trio of evil scarecrow in AAA, consisiting of Espantapájaros I, Espantapájaros II & Espantapájaros III. Like Los Insectos, they bring a bag and attempt to stuff their opponents into it.
Los Espantapájaros are believed to be other active AAA wrestlers in disguise, and may only play these roles when their normal characters wouldn't fit the match. It's believed the former Los Warriors (Vangelis, Brandon & Kevin respectively) were the ones behind the masks most regularly, but this likely switched depending on who was available on the night. This type of gimmick, with a similar mask and outfit, was already used by Kahoz in 1997-1998. He was given the name Scarecrow and fought solo. In 2009 & 2022, an independent wrestler previously known as El Cortado lost the Espantapajaros mask (maybe used only for those nights) during independent shows against Super Raton & Chucho El Roto respectively.[1] See Espantapájaros for more.
