The fourth edition of CMLL NJPW FantasticMania (2014) was a five show tour.

As one of the prizes for winning En Busca de Un Idolo, 2014, Vangellys earned a spot on these shows.

Day 1

January 14 in Body Maker Coloseum, Osaka, Japan.

Other Notes

  1. ~9:15. Titan looked good doing his signature spots. Taichi pulled Bushiroad's mask for the win (though he struggled with a cradle.) Rudos took Titan's mask as well and wore the masks to the post match interviews (where Taka introduced himself as TAKA-tan.) Tecnicos vowed revenge.
  2. Mima Shimoda was back with Okumura. Rey Cometa wrestled the match in his mask, but it didn't help him - Okumura reversed his huracanrana in 6:40 for the win. The other four were taken out by dives right before the end. Cometa took off his mask post match.
  3. 10:26. Maximo kiss of death on Jado set up a casita.
  4. Volador beat Mascara Dorada with the Canadian Destroyer in 8:36. Like Rey Cometa, Volador wrestled the match in his mask and unmasked after his win.
  5. Ultimo Guerrero beat Sombra with the Guerrero Special in 12:25. Best match on the show so far.
  6. Tanahashi had the CMLL Universal championship. Desperado slipped out from the Rainmaker and landed a big tope con giro, taking Okada and half the announce desk. La Mistica on Rey Escorpion in 10:17. Escorpion said he'd break Mistico's shoulder in post match interviews.

  3. 9:51. Taichi beat Maximo with a Gedo clutch + testicular claw
  4. 11:32. Swapped partners from yesterday. Naito goes 2-0 as Dorada beats Volador.
  5. 12:13. Rush and Mistico wore half/half masks to the ring. Mistica on Mephisto. Nakamura & Rush fought after the match.
  6. 11:40. Desperado beat Niebla Roja. Ultimo Guerrero and Sombra faced off post match and Sombra talked about making their singles match into a title match.

Day 3

January 17 in Shinkiba 1st Ring, Tokyo, Japan. This was billed as a CMLL only show, but members of NJPW faction Suzuki-Gun worked the opener.

Other Notes

  1. Cometa Spanish Fly on Okumura. Taichi & Taka acted as if they were going to invite Okumura into the Suzuki army, but turned on him instead.
  2. Mephisto pinned Titan after Devil's Wings. Mephisto said he'd do the same to Mistico tomorrow.
  3. Rey Escorpion keeps the title via Aguijon Mortal. Seventh defense.
  4. Rush Driver on Niebla Roja. Mistico said he's preparing 100% for tomorrow's title match.
  5. expected time limit draw, with the two flying around the arena before hitting the ten minute mark. They both asked for five more minutes and were told no. They kept fighting anyway, Volador climbing in the balcony area of the building to dive onto Sombra. Stuka led the other tecnicos out to finally break up the fight. Volador declared this a win and proof he was better than Sombra. Sombra said he was done with Volador and onto Ultimo Guerrero - and then wants to fight Tanahashi, Naito, Nakamura and Makabe.

Other Notes

  1. 9'35" Comedy triangle match. Milano took the kiss from Maximo and had to be helped to the back again - then returned during the match. Taichi had Maximo in the testicular claw, but Maximo powered out (?!?), kissed Taichi and wrapped him up in a casita for the win.
  2. 6:57. Marcela helped give flowers to the tecnicos before the match. Mima was the rudos. Cometa survived nearly getting broken by Yujiro on the outside to hit the Brillo Cometa. (Yujiro generally had problems with working with Cometa & Stuka.) Mima took a superkick from Rey Cometa. Cameras had trouble keeping up with the action. Stuka had Yujiro set up for the bomb splash, but Okumura hit him with a chair and Yujiro eventually beat Stuka with Tokyo Pimpis. Stuka challenged Okumura to a mask vs hair match, but that went nowhere.
  3. 8:56. Black Cat (Kuroneko)'s wife gave a speech before the match. Fuego danced even more than usual coming to the ring. Comandante accompanied Vangellys. Niebla Roja has a shoulder taped up. Comandante turned the match for the rudos, and swatted Titan with a belt a few times. Good if chaotic match. Vangellys beat Fuego with a huge german suplex.
  4. 8:13. Volador continues to wrestle in his mask. Volador & Bushiroad did the stereo dives off high places. Desperado beat Bushiroad with his El Guitarra del Angel finisher. Volador unmasked while Dorada was hyping up their match for tomorrow. In post match interviews, Desperado talked about having learned from Dorada & Volador in Mexico - and then claimed he was born in Mexico to a Japanese father, so that's why he can speak Japanese.
  5. 10:18. Expected hard hitting good match. Nakamura blocked the Rush Driver three times before hitting the Boma Ye for the win.
  6. 19:42. Good match. Great sequence with Okada & Sombra near the start. Guerrero Special on Sombra for the win. Ishii & Naito fought after the match.
  7. 14:05. Mephisto is champion. Fourth defense. Sombra was Mistico's second, Okumura was Mephisto's second. Mistico landed the SSP to the outside, but Mephisto escaped the flying short armscissors and beat Mistico completely clean with a super Devil's Wings.

  1. 10:16. Mascara Don is Manabu Nakanishi. Don submitted TAKA in a long comedy match.
  2. 4:46. Stuka splash on both Okumura and Mima in a short match
  3. 9:57. Good match with a lot of action. Desperado beat Vangellys with a Gori Bomb variation.
  4. 12:38. Rush Driver on Escorpion. Match was a lot of build up to Naito/Ishii.
  5. 11:54. First few minutes of the match were spent on the match. Sombra nearly crashed and burned on Asai imploding 450 splash, but UG got in the way. Sombra won with the Brillante Driver. UG needed help to the back.
  6. 11:51. Mistico's shoulder popped out on a plancha right before the finish. He still got La Mistica on Mephisto for the win.
  7. 17:59. made a title defense after Volador kept the title in Puebla on 01/06. Maximo (Volador) and Desperado (Dorada) were seconds. Volador kept the match with a new variation on the Volador Spiral in a total spectacle of a match. Second defense.
