Shining Wizard
A knee smash, performed by stepping on a kneeling victim's knee. Popularized by the Great Muta in Japan.
The Shining Wizard ("Senkou Youjutsu" in Japanese) spread everywhere as a fad move of the mid 2000s, Muta himself having only introduced it in 2001. Ironically, to help protect his ailing knees from his usual moonsault finish). Many variations have followed - such as Low Ki's Black Magic Roundhouse Kick, Mayumi Ozaki's Yakuza Ozakick, and Meiko Satomura's Scorpio Rising Axe Kick - including entirely different moves done after stepping on an kneeling opponent's knee. Mascara Dorada's follows it with headscissors, and in 2026 Yuya Uemura debuted a Shining Elbow Drop.
Muta also later introduced his own variant in Enzu Senkou Youjutsu, which attacks the opponent from behind with an Enzuigiri kick (yet still manages to step on their forward-facing knee to do the step-up). Similar to a Cabronazo.
