His father was best friends with the original Fantasma de la Quebrada and he was allowed to take on the gimmick.
Before losing his mask to Hijo del Solitario he was already unmasked by lucha commissioners having missed a mask vs.hair match against Pirata Morgan for a serious injury. He was allowed to return to the ring to lose his mask on the field, and then introduced a Fantasma de la Quebrada jr. and disappeared from the lucha scene for good.
