La Ola Lila

La Ola Lila (the Lilac/Purple Wave) is one of many "wave" factions named in homage to La Ola Blanca. This one is specifically a team of exoticos. Formed in the late 1970s, their presentation in the 1980s has been credited with shifting the exotico role away from the mockery of performative pioneers like Gardenia Davis to something genuinely empowering for LGBTQ+ luchadors.
