Magadan was one of CMLL's announcers (and one of AAA's in the 1990s), and the only one to appear on both the main/Televisa broadcast and the MVS/Guerreros del Ring shows. Magadan was said to have been an official CMLL employee, which would be in conflict with his Televisa employment and circumstantial evidence backs up the claims. Magadan has not addressed this situation.

Left CMLL in December 2024[1] due to a perceived incompetence & lack of respect from upper management, particularly over its draconian "exclusivity" policies regarding indie cards with AAA talent (which he felt that CMLL did not pay its talent well enough to reasonably enforce).[2]
