Backdrop Suplex

Headlock counter, landing the victim on their back in a suplex. Rare in Mexico - much more common in Japan and the United States.

If the attacker tilts the opponents at a higher angle once they reach the peak of the lift, it lands them on their head/neck and becomes the infamous Backdrop Driver.

The Saito Suplex is essentially the same move. The precise difference is in the exact orientation of the opponent: Belly-to-back suplexes technically require the namesake position, with both wrestlers facing the same direction during the grasp & lift. A Saito suplex initiates contact at an angle, with the attacker typically facing the victim's side.
