== History of Championship ==
[[IWL]] began a [[IWL Heavyweight Tournament, 2010|tournament]] in [[2010]] in order to get their first IWL Heavyweight Champion. The tournament started normally until the quarterfinals when [[IWL]] began to have troubles with the international wrestlers like [[Scot Summers]], who failed to appear in his respective match due he not came to [[Mexico]] to wrestle. After these events, [[IWL]] chose not more bring international wrestlers and, as consequently, the tournament never was finished and was abandoned.
In [[2013]], [[IWL]] finally crowned their first IWL Heavyweight Champion at their [[IWL 3rd Anniversary|3rd Anniversary Show]]. [[L.A. Park]] defeated [[Canek]], [[Dr. Wagner Jr.]] and [[Justin Credible]] and became the inaugural champion.
