Multiple luchadors have used the name Alebrije (the name refers to a Mexican art that has fictional creatures pained in colorful colors). Both AAA and the most well known person to use the name claim to own the identity. AAA's put new people in the outfit to keep it alive (and maintain their claim), but it's only rarely been used on TV since the original left. The original continues the name Alebrije on independent shows, and uses Kraneo on CMLL's shows.
