The Mexico State Tag Team Championship or "Campeonato de Parejas del Estado del Mexico" in Spanish is a regional championship defended in Mexico State. It should not be confused with the Distrito Federal Tag Team Championship. Championship is under the jurisdiction of the Estado de Mexico (Mexico State) Box Y Lucha commission

There may be different versions of "Campeonato de Parejas del Estado de Mexico" (Mexico State Tag Team Championship) around, as they differ on title designs.

There's no complete championship history available for the Mexico State Tag Titles, but former champions include:

El Catedratico & El Matematico listed as defeating Villanos in 1978. Villanos are listed as champions again in October, 1978.

A title match between Bárbaro Fonseca & Benny Castello (c) vs El Robot & Potro Salvaje was listed on December 25, 1979 at Arena San Juan Pantitlan

On June 28, 2015 Fuego Jr & Boomerang (listed on different teams) became n°1 contenders to the title at a show made in "Fiestas Patronales de San Juan" San Juan Buenavista, Toluca, Estado de Mexico then defeated previous champions Resplandor Negro & Resplandor on July 5, 2015 at Expo-Lucha Metepec in Metepec, Estado de Mexico

On August 7, 2017 at Salon La Conchita in San Mateo Atenco, Estado de Mexico, Los Gemelos Fantasticos (Gemelo Fantastico I & Gemelo Fantastico II) defeated Slayer & Monje Loco I[1]

A "Northern Zone" Mexico State championship was announced to be awarded on January, 2019 in Jilotepec, Mexico State, this is the same title design as Mexico State Heavy belt won by Black Kato in 2017[2]

There is a local tag team championship possibly created by Omega Lucha Libre back in early 2010's that has been labeled as Mexico State Tag Team Championship[3] and used by some indy promotions after the promotion closure. it has been recently used as "Arena Victoria Tag Team Championship" by SinakPro Promotion
