Coming from a humble family he worked in construction since young.  His friends were wrestling fans and they used to attend '''Martes de Coliseo''' at [[Arena Topochico]].  He was invited by his friends to train Lucha Libre.  He was the only one who continued with his training until he became professional.  He worked during the day and at the evenings he went to train.  He was trained by [[Mr. Lince]], [[Rolando Vera]] and [[Bulldog Villegas]].  His training was for three years and from the twenty aspirants who presented the exam he was one of the two who passed it.
His first in ring experience was on 1978 when there was a missing luchador for the first match.  He was asked to take that missing place.  Although his maestro was not conviced by the idea, however he went unmasked with a ring name that he cannot remember.  After that experience he insisted to his maestro to make his professional debut.
