Won the lightweight title in 1942, got married and lost the title in 1943. Finished runner up in a tournament for the vacant welterweight title in the same year. Somehow got onto EMLL's "lista negra", disappeared from Arena Mexico and worked in small arenas for a time before moving to the United States with a group of others. Returned to Mexico as part of the Televicentro promotion until it fell apart in 1952.
