[[LLU|Lucha Libre Unida]] (LLU) announced through Facebook they agreed a deal with [[Luis Reyna]] in order to promote three championships in hands of Reyna's older brother, and former lucha libre promoter [[Tony Reyna]]. These championships were the Northern Light Heavyweight Championship, the [[Northern Welterweight Championship]], and the [[LLU Classic Championship|Nuevo Leon Middleweight Championship]], plus the fellow managed [[Nuevo Leon Women's Championship]].

The first champions recognised under management of the promotion were [[Furor (Monterrey)|Furor]] (Light Heavyweight), [[Sombra del Ring]] (Welterweight), and [[Luis Reyna]] (Middleweight).
