Latin Lover attempted to escape the cage to leave Konnan as the loser, but celebrity [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sergio_Mayer Sergio Mayer] threw a drink in his face. Konnan was able to escape first to win the match. If team AAA won the match, Konnan would've been forced to leave AAA. By winning the match, Konnan took the AAA president position from [[Joaquin Roldan]]. After the match, [[Cibernetico]] claimed his contract was only with the "[[Dorian Roldan]]" family, and quit the promotion. It was not only a storyline departure, but mirrored a real departure. Cibernetico would not return until after [[TripleMania XVII]], when Konnan was no longer in storyline control of the company.
