It's an interesting idea and would be a fun thing to do for the year pages. I just don't know of some place that's worked out what the rosters were, exactly, and we'd have to reverse engineer a list out of match/TV records. I think it can be done, I just don't know if it'll be done any time soon.

== Biography ==
During 2006 he lived in [[Xalapa]], [[Veracruz]], [[México]], wrestling at the local arena ([[Arena Xalapa]]) and was working as the official trainer there at last report. He trains local stars such as [[Samuray]], [[Guerrero del Infierno]], [[Perro Mocho Jr.]] and so on.

On weekends he traveled to Mexico to train a group of wrestlers along with [[Ultimo Dragon]], at the [[Toryumon]] gym. These include [[Turbo]] (his best known pupil) and others like [[Black Thunder]].

He was also a part-time trainer for the Chikara Wrestle Factory in Philadelphia.

Rumors at the time said Skayde was retiring due to health problems (knees and ligaments), thus explaining his surprising mask loss to Mistico. There appeared to be no build to the mask match. The match itself was surprising, but the result was not; Mistico's win was around the peak of his popularity.

Since the mask loss, he's continued to appear sporadically in both Mexico and the US. Skayde's tended to be on shows that slip thru the radar throughout the career, so it's tough to exactly determine a drop off. As of late 2009, he did seem to disappear from [[Perros del Mal]] and other high end Mexico indies, often with [[Skayde Jr.]] taking his place. At the same time, he has made appearances for both the CHIKARA and Dragon Gate USA promotions in the US.

The exact relationship between Skayde and [[Skayde Jr.]] is still unknown.

Today Skayde it is recognized as one of the ten best wrestlers trainers in the world and as one of the hundred best pro wrestlers in the world by the PWI in position # 201 (2004), #189 (2005), #385 (2006), and # 415 (2007)

== Biography ==

A black belt in Shotokan Karate, Octagón started in [[CMLL]] as La Amenaza Elegante before creating the Octagón name and look along with then CMLL booker [[Antonio Peña]]. The name Octagón was inspired by the Chuck Norris movie ''Octagon'' while the look was inspired by [[Kung Fu]] & [[Kato Kung Lee]]. When Peña left CMLL to create [[AAA]], Octagón went with him. After many years in AAA, he decided to leave after not being used much anymore. Octagón began a dispute with AAA over the rights to the Octagón name. Then in April 2016 Octagón became upset that AAA created another [[Flamita|Octagón Jr.]] which he did not endorse and decided to confront [[Flamita|Octagón Jr.]] at an autograph signing and appereance where Octagón publically unmasked him. During this time Octagón held a press conference to introduce his own [[Hijo de Octagón|Octagón Jr.]]

Debuted in [[AAA]] in [[2011]] as the nemesis of [[Fénix (AAA)|Fénix]]. In [[2013]] took the gimmick of '''Pentagon Jr.''' In [[2015]] he debuted in [[Lucha Underground]] as a vicious rudo who after defeating his opponents would use an armbar to break an arm. He was being guided by a mysterious master/maestro who encouraged him in his evil ways. His mantra is Cero Miedo which translates to zero fear. This means he has no fear of anyone or anything. He fights with no fear and he has no problem hurting anyone who gets in his way. Cero Miedo drives him to be as aggressive as possible to reach his goals. Cero Miedo is not just a phrase, its a way of life.

Debuted in [[AAA]] in [[2011]] as the nemesis of [[Fénix (AAA)|Fénix]]. In [[2013]] took the gimmick of '''Pentagon Jr.''' In [[2015]] he debuted in [[Lucha Underground]] as a vicious rudo who after defeating his opponents would use an armbar to break an arm. He was being guided by a mysterious master/maestro who encouraged him in his evil ways. His mantra is Cero Miedo which translates to zero fear. This means he has no fear of anyone or anything. He fights with no fear and he has no problem hurting anyone who gets in his way. Cero Miedo drives him to be as aggressive as possible to reach his goals. == Biography ==
LA Park is a regular in [[CMLL]]. He's recently turned rudo in [[Mexico City]], but still wrestles as a tecnico in many places and outside of CMLL. When he started his current stint with CMLL, he was presented as a freelancing outsider, and it's unclear if he still maintains that status (or if there's any real meaning to that distinction.)

As a tecnico, LA Park was getting a negative reaction from some of the tecnicos fans in 2006. (It's comparable, though not nearly as loud, as what happened with [[Atlantis]] a year earlier.) On [[April 30]], [[2006]] - a special Kid's Day show at [[Arena Mexico]] - LA Park turned on his partners [[Mistico]], [[Negro Casas]], and [[Heavy Metal]]. Park teased a feud with Mistico and at an alliance with [[Perros del Mal]], but his rudo turn has ended up more focused on a feud with [[Dr. Wagner Jr.]]

LA Park is best known to North American wrestling fans for his stint in World Championship Wrestling, where his trademark was striking his opponents over the head with a chair; thus, the nickname ''Chairman of the Board'' came into play. He is also remembered for his strutting and leg-wiggling dancing.
Adolfo Tapia started wrestling in 1982, but he did not really start making a name for himself until he started wrestling as the masked La Parka in 1992. His costume and mask are a skeleton resembling the outfits used in Mexico's Day of the Dead ceremony. He is a very flamboyant wrestler, sometimes wearing sombreros to the ring, playing guitar on the chair he always brings to the ring, strutting and dancing in the ring, and even strutting on the turnbuckle.

His biggest and longest running feud in Mexico was against Lizmark. They feuded for years. He also feuded with Jerry Estrada, Konnan, Super Calo and Pierroth, Jr. He frequently teamed with Psychosis. He was part of the "When Worlds Collide" joint AAA/WCW PPV in 1994 and wrestled briefly in ECW in 1995.

In 1996, he went to WCW and picked up his feud with Super Calo. He became known as "The Chairman of WCW" because he would hit his opponents with a chair, stand it up and pose on it after strutting. In 1997, he reformed his team with Psychosis with Sonny Onoo as their manager. They feuded with Wrath, Mortis, and Ultimo Dragon. By 1998, he had left Onoo and feuded with Disco Inferno and Psychosis. He was used on some WCW PPV's but never got a push to the top. In June 1998, he tore his ACL in a match after a Goldberg spear. He returned in September and got into some trouble for competing in Mexico without Eric Bischoff's permission.

In November 1998, he joined Eddie Guerrero's Latino World Order (LWO) with Psychosis, Juventud Guerrera, Los Villanos, El Dandy, Silver King, Héctor Garza, Damien, and a reluctant Rey Misterio Jr.. They feuded with Konnan and Perry Saturn. The LWO disbanded in January 1999 when Guerrero was injured in a car accident. La Parka started teaming with Silver King and picked up his feud with Super Calo again. He briefly feuded with Eddie Guerrero upon his return since Eddie caused the LWO to disband.

When Vince Russo and Ed Ferrara took over booking in late 1999, they had Ferrara's voice speaking English over the intercom while La Parka would be doing interviews in Spanish in the ring. The voiceovers would comically explain La Parka was a fan of Skeletor from Masters of the Universe, hence his in-ring wear. This ended after a few weeks when La Parka heard something he did not want said and tossed the mic down as Ferrera was speaking. By early 2000, he had left WCW for Mexico where he had some trouble with the AAA promotion over the use of the La Parka name. They had it trademarked and he did not want to work for them, so he changed his name to L.A. Park and debuted with AAA's rival, Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre. In January of 2004, Park and Shocker defeated Los Guerreros Del Infierno for the CMLL World Tag Team Championship. Rey Bucanero and Último Guerrero would win their titles back in a rematch in March but L.A. Park challenged Último Guerrero for the CMLL Light-Heavyweight title at the CMLL 71st anniversary show but was unsuccessful. He continued wrestling in CMLL as well as independent promotions in Tijuana and else where in the country.

2002 and 2003 saw him wrestle for XPW, All Japan Pro Wrestling, Major League Wrestling and the revived AWA Superstars. In 2004, he made brief appearances in Total Nonstop Action Wrestling, using his chair on his opponents, but was soon back in Mexico teaming with Shocker. In 2005, L.A. Park can be found wrestling in his native Mexico and in the United States for LXW and UCW and occasionally for FCW.

In October 2005 L.A. Park debuted for Detroit's Independent Wrestling Revolution (IWR) brand "Revolucha", teaming with American Kickboxer vs. El Hijo del Santo & Konnan, with special referee Zach Gowen. Park continued his rivalry with El Hijo del Santo culminating in May 2006 at Revolucha 2: "Dia de los Muertos" inside "Lucha en la Juala" (a steel cage match). Both Park and Santo had their masks ripped 50% off their faces during this violent cage match. In February 2006, L.A. Park began a bitter feud with then IWR Champion Conrad Kennedy III (CK3). L.A. Park finally defeated CK3 in August 2006 at "Brawl at the Hall" and is currently the IWR/Revolucha Heavyweight Champion.

As of June 2006, he's currently still performing on the CMLL, has become a heel and has had a very successful run of matches on Mexico, mainly due to his current feud with Dr. Wagner Jr., which have a very positive fan reaction. In one of their most recent matches, which happened on the Arena Mexico in June 9, 2006, L.A. Park won when he faked a foul and Dr. Wagner Jr. was disqualified.

== Controversy over the La Parka gimmick ==
LA Park is the original La Parka from [[AAA]] in the early '90s and the one who was in WCW and XPW. The rights to the gimmick of La Parka have been the subject of court battles since La Parka left AAA; so far, they've ruled that AAA owner [[Antonio Pena]] owns the name and the look, and LA Park can not use the "La Parka" on television in Mexico. (He's allowed to and does use La Parka in the US and elsewhere.) The name L.A. Park means, La Autentica ParK (Where the k is pronounces as ka), so the name means "The Authentic Parka"

== Biography ==
During 2006 he lived in [[Xalapa]], [[Veracruz]], [[México]], wrestling at the local arena ([[Arena Xalapa]]) and was working as the official trainer there at last report. He trains local stars such as [[Samuray]], [[Guerrero del Infierno]], [[Perro Mocho Jr.]] and so on.

On weekends he traveled to Mexico to train a group of wrestlers along with [[Ultimo Dragon]], at the [[Toryumon]] gym. These include [[Turbo]] (his best known pupil) and others like [[Black Thunder]].

He was also a part-time trainer for the Chikara Wrestle Factory in Philadelphia.

Rumors at the time said Skayde was retiring due to health problems (knees and ligaments), thus explaining his surprising mask loss to Mistico. There appeared to be no build to the mask match. The match itself was surprising, but the result was not; Mistico's win was around the peak of his popularity.

Since the mask loss, he's continued to appear sporadically in both Mexico and the US. Skayde's tended to be on shows that slip thru the radar throughout the career, so it's tough to exactly determine a drop off. As of late 2009, he did seem to disappear from [[Perros del Mal]] and other high end Mexico indies, often with [[Skayde Jr.]] taking his place. At the same time, he has made appearances for both the CHIKARA and Dragon Gate USA promotions in the US.

The exact relationship between Skayde and [[Skayde Jr.]] is still unknown.

Today Skayde it is recognized as one of the ten best wrestlers trainers in the world and as one of the hundred best pro wrestlers in the world by the PWI in position # 201 (2004), #189 (2005), #385 (2006), and # 415 (2007)

During 2006 he lived in [[Xalapa]], [[Veracruz]], [[México]], wrestling at the local arena ([[Arena Xalapa]]) and was working as the official trainer there at last report. He trains local stars such as [[Samuray]], [[Guerrero del Infierno]], [[Perro Mocho Jr.]] and so on.

On weekends he traveled to Mexico to train a group of wrestlers along with [[Ultimo Dragon]], at the [[Toryumon]] gym. These include [[Turbo]] (his best known pupil) and others like [[Black Thunder]].

He was also a part-time trainer for the Chikara Wrestle Factory in Philadelphia.

Rumors at the time said Skayde was retiring due to health problems (knees and ligaments), thus explaining his surprising mask loss to Mistico. There appeared to be no build to the mask match. The match itself was surprising, but the result was not; Mistico's win was around the peak of his popularity.

Since the mask loss, he's continued to appear sporadically in both Mexico and the US. Skayde's tended to be on shows that slip thru the radar throughout the career, so it's tough to exactly determine a drop off. As of late 2009, he did seem to disappear from [[Perros del Mal]] and other high end Mexico indies, often with [[Skayde Jr.]] taking his place. At the same time, he has made appearances for both the CHIKARA and Dragon Gate USA promotions in the US.

The exact relationship between Skayde and [[Skayde Jr.]] is still unknown.

Today Skayde it is recognized as one of the ten best wrestlers trainers in the world and as one of the hundred best pro wrestlers in the world by the PWI in position # 201 (2004), #189 (2005), #385 (2006), and # 415 (2007)

Lucha Libre fan sice my early days. Trained for a little while under Skayde in the short period he lived in Xalapa, México. A memory and priviledge I cherish to this very day.

Been on an off the loop of mexican wrestling throughout the years but always with a special place in my heart. L.A. Park is my favorite wrestler.

Lucha Television Information: A listing of where and when lucha wrestling shows air.

===Mexico===

Both [[AAA]] and [[CMLL]] air on the [[Televisa]] family of channels. On National Channel 9 (also known as Galavision), CMLL airs on Saturdays afternoon, and AAA airs on Sunday afternoon, but exact times vary depending on the week.

[[IWRG]] airs on the AYM Sports network, out of Juarez, Sundays at 11am.

Since late '05, [[CMLL]] also airs on Canal 52. Check the listing in the United States section for more information.

Also, in mid '06, TVC (and at the beggining Canal 28) started to air [[AULL]] (Alianza Universal de Lucha Libre, which is a transmision of the [[Arena Lopez Mateos]]).

[[AULL]] is aired either on saturdays or sundays with a very variable time. They feature indepentand wrestlers and CMLL wrestlers.

===United States===

Galavision

[[CMLL]] and [[AAA]] may air on Galavision (US), which is owned by Univision. In the past, Galavision would combine and compact both promotion's shows into a two or three hour timeslot. In the last year, they've instead just show one promotion or the other (usually CMLL), though cuts are still sometimes made to allow for US length commerical breaks.

Currently, only AAA is airing on the network. They've expanded the usual timeslots to 3 hours to get around having to cut the episodes up to fit the old 2 hours slot. There's no word when CMLL might air again, and there was no word that only AAA would air before it did.

In early 2003, Galavision stopped airing new episodes of CMLL and AAA due to a contract dispute. The sides were eventually able to come to an agreement in June of 2003, but Galavision opted to start airing episodes on a two month delay. (The US broadcasts were previously only two weeks behind Mexico.) Since this time, the delay has grown to over three months.

On normal weeks, lucha airs three times during the weekend. There are two airings of "Lucha Libre", once on Saturday at 2pm EST, and once again early Sunday morning at 3am. On Sunday afternoon at 2pm, "Lucha de Vuelta" airs, which is a rerun of "Lucha Libre" from weeks prior. All shows are typically two hours long. Starting time and length can vary from week to week due to other programming commitments (usually Mexican futbol coverage), and it varies enough that it's worth checking the listings each week.

Depending on your cable provider and area, Galavision (listed as GALA) may be part of your normal digital channels, a special Spanish language tier or be unavailable at all. Galavision is available on both DirectTV and DishNetwork.

CAN52MX/Canal 52/Multivision

Since late '05, CMLL has started to air a Guerreros del Ring (GdR) on Canal 52MX. This station is avaiable in both the United States and Mexico, though it's non-GdR programming lineup varies depending on the country.

Guerreros del Ring is a one hour show, typically airing the two matches from the Sunday Arena Coliseo show (6 days after). It airs in both Mexico and the United States on Saturday at 8:30am and Sunday at 9:30am, and only in the United States at 8:00pm. (All times Eastern.)

CAN52MX's website is [http://canal52.com.mx/site/ canal52.com.mx/site/]. CAN52MX is only available on Comcast Digital cable systems in the US, and may be part of a Spanish language package.

Fox Sports en Espanol

Starting [[August 13]], [[2006]], FSE has started airing an hour of "Lucha Libre on Fox Sports." FSE is available in both US and Mexico. Programming varies by country, but LLFS is on both channels.

Lucha Libre on Fox Sports is additonal hour from the Sunday Arena Coliseo tapings (7 days after), showcasing two matches which were previously unaired. Currently, the show airs on Sunday evenings. The start time can vary (usually between 6 and 8pm EST), and the show is 1 hour in length.

In the past, a show featuring [[WWA]] lucha from Tijuana has aired on Fox Sports en Espanol.

Televisa - sorta

Residents of Southern California have been known to be able to receive the over the air signal from the Tijuana Televisa affiliate (Channel 12 - XEWT). However, they often cut off the CMLL lucha show after the first hour. Sometimes you get the first hour of the show, sometimes the last hour, just depends. The show had been airing steadily the past few weeks but is now one week behind after they skipped a week. Its airing depends on if there's any big futbol game or not on Saturdays. IF it airs its at 6pm.

 Multimedios Television 

Multimedios Television owns two television stations in Monterrey. Action from Arena Coliseo Monterrey (which has AAA and indy events) airs on it's local XHAW-TV. Multimedios also has affilates elsewhere in Mexico and the US, and a full list of their affilates can be found on their website [http://www.multimedios.tv/interior/cobertura.aspx].

CMLL aired on UK's [http://www.thewrestlingchannel.tv/ the Wrestling Channel] in '04, but are not currently airing on the network.

CMLL currently airs on Galavision Europe, but it is only available in Spain through the [http://www.plus.es/ Canal Satélite Digital] provider.

===Japan===

A shortened version of the Televisa CMLL show airs on the [http://www.samurai-tv.co.jp/ Samurai Network]. The opening match is cut to shorten the program down to 90 minutes. Check their website for more information on dates and times.
