His name means "Spawn". Engendro is originally from [[Oaxaca]], but more later moved to [[Guadalajara]]. He was part of the golden age of wrestling at [[El Toreo]], teaming with [[Scorpio Jr.]] and [[Shu el Guerrero]] to form the [[Los Desafiantes]]. The trio won the [[UWA World Trios Championship]] and claim a record amount of successful defenses.

Engendro lost his mask to [[Villano IV]], but his career continued strong without the mask. Much more of a problem was [[UWA]]'s collapse, and Engendro moved to [[Guadalajara]] to wrestle in arenas around the area.

According to [[El Indómito]] in at least one interview, he was part of the original lineup of [[Payasos AAA]] as the first '''Coco Azul'''. This often led to him being listed as part of the group in its first, 1990s incarnation. In fact, Mario Hernandez (Ojo Diabólico) was '''[[Coco Azul]]''' in both the 1990s and 2000s lineups, so Engendro must have been replaced early on.

Engendro es un luchador de Oaxaca pero echo y exitoso en Guadalajara. Su epoca de Oro la vivio en el Toreo de Cuatro Caminos en compañia de gente como Scorpio Jr. y Shu el Guerrero con los cuales formo el equipo de los desafiantes, los cuales llegaron a ser Campeones Mundiales de Tercias UWA einponiendo record de defensas a ese cetro.

A finales de la decada de los 80´s perdio la Mascara en contra del Villano IV en el Toreo de Cuatro Caminos pero su carrera sigue de manera tranquila y no le afecta en mucho el resultado de ese encuentro. a incios de los 90s despues de la desaparicion de la UWA del plano luchistico lucha en Cd Juarez para la empresa ACASA como Rayo Imperial, mantendria un pique con Cinta de oro, culminando en un mascara vs mascara donde finalmente se descubre que rayo Imperial era el Engendro, despues se refugiza en las Arenas de Guadalajara hasta que nace la AAA y asi un concepto inovador en ese momento los Payasos, equipo al cual pertenecio en su version original como Coco Azul. llegaron a tener un record de mucho respeto de luchas invistas.

== Biography ==

Aníbal was born on [[November 4]], [[1940]] in the state of [[Michoacán]]. In order to keep his identity as a secret, in different interviews he has done through the years he has stated being born at [[Mexico City]], [[Mexico State]], [[Zitácuaro]] or [[Topilejo]]. Something that is for sure us that he was born in the state of [[Michoacán]].

When he was four years old his family moved to [[Mexico City]] where he had access to lucha libre, and he idolized [[Black Shadow]] and wanted to be a wrestler like him. When he was nineteen years old he started to train at the [[Gimnasio Gloria| Gimnasio Baños Gloria]] and at the [[Gimnasio San Francisco de Portales]], where the instructors were [[Chico Fernández]] and [[Salvador Flores]].

He had his first professional match in November of [[1963]] under his real name, Carlos Carrillo. It was in [[Cuernavaca]], [[Morelos]] and he was paid $40 pesos.

He assumed names such as '''Genio Azul''' and '''Príncipe Azul'''. Two years later his representatives designed a mask for him. He didn't want to wear a mask, but seeing how most of the younger idols were masked wrestlers he finally decided to go on with the idea. He came up with the Aníbal name.

Carlos was an avid reader of history books, and one of his favorite tales was the one of Aníbal Barca, a Carthagenian general, son of Amílcar Barca and brother of Asdrúbal. He conquered the city of Sagunto, crossed the Pyrenees and the Alps, and battled and defeated the Romans. He almost conquered the city of Rome, but he killed himself in a battle after being surrounded by the enemy troops, because he'd rather be dead than waste the rest of his life being a slave. His first mask design was strongly based on the one of Black Shadow, due to his admiration.

As Anibal, his "padrinos" (mentors) during his debut were [[Mil Máscaras]], and his idol [[Black Shadow]]. His debut as Aníbal was in the mid 1960s in a tag team match with [[Cometa Dorado]] against [[Black Demon]] & [[Chico Mendoza]]

Anibal's rookie days were in the [[Arena KO Al Gusto]] in [[Naucalpan]], he became a hot independent worker in [[Plaza De Toros El Cortijo]], and in [[1966]] he signed with EMLL. On [[October 14]], a bit before signing with [[EMLL]], he lost the [[Distrito Federal Light Heavyweight Title]] against the popular wrestler now turned referee [[Pepe Casas]].

During 1966 he wrestled for [[EMLL]] in '''Martes Populares'''. He spent the following two years working his way up the ranks in EMLL, honing his technique and high flying skills into a top level competitor at [[Arena Coliseo]]. By [[1970]] he became a big name wrestler.

In [[1970]], he won the [[NWA Middleweight Title]] from [[Masio Koma]] and started a multi-year feud with [[René Guajardo]]. On June 28, 1974, Aníbal defeated [[Adorable Rubí]] to become Mexican National Middleweight Champion. On September 20, Aníbal became a double champion by defeating [[El Cobarde]] in a match for the vacant [[NWA World Middleweight Title]]. He was voted wrestler of the year by the magazine El Halcon, which is an honor he had again in [[1974]].

He was one of the many wrestlers that on May of [[1975]] left [[EMLL]] to join the newly created [[UWA]]. His championship match against his longtime rival [[Rene Guajardo]] for the [[UWA World Middleweight Title]] was key in the inaugural event of Promociones Mora-Flores in [[Palacio de los Deportes]]. Aníbal was already a very popular wrestler and had big profile rivalries with people like [[El Marquez]], but his most memorable feuds and matches were with [[Rene Guajardo]], [[Ray Mendoza]], [[Perro Aguayo]] and others turned him into a legend.

He was a big star until the mid 80s, where he sort of disappeared from the scene due to injuries. His style had changed so much because he couldn't wrestle the fast tecnico style anymore. In [[1983]] he was still doing a huge campaign teaming with [[Villano III]] and [[El Solitario]] as "Los Tres Caballeros" (The three gentlemen) but in 1984 he turned rudo and formed a team with his former arch-enemy [[Dr. Wagner]]. As rudo Aníbal had a series of very bloody matches against [[El Solitario]], a rivalry that could end in a lucha de apuestas. His last big feud was perhaps in [[Puerto Rico]], where he lost the [[UWA Junior Light Heavyweight Championship]] to the local favorite [[Invader III]]. That was August 15, in San Juan, where the WWC promotion was having his 11th Anniversary Show. Anibal eventually regained the title and lost it on January of 1985 to [[Negro Navarro]].

Anibal's name popped up again strongly on the lucha scene in [[1991]]. He wrestled a lot in [[Panama]] and he started to get booked in [[Arena Mexico]] shows again.

On [[December 13]], [[1991]], the event '''Juicio Final''' in which the main event was the mask vs mask agaisnt [[Mascara Año 2000]] sold out Arena Mexico (drawing 18,000). The Anibal seen in the match was no longer in his prime, his cumulative injuries over his almost thirty years of in ring career affected his performance considerably. Even with those harships, Anibal demonstrated his resistance against his rival. The match resulted controversial due to the intervention of [[Cien Caras]] when he smashed a bottle on Anibal's head and the even more controversial ending of the match. Mascara Año 2000 won by disqualification after the referee "received" a foul by Anibal. After his mask loss he had a short tour all over Mexico and retired. It's said that Anibal really needed the money.

He eventually returned some months later after his good friend [[Tony Arce]] convinced him, but his hip was in so much pain that he needed surgery again so he retired for good. Before retiring, he had a last tour in Panama where he lost his mask to local legend [[Sandokán]] to culminate a 20 years plus feud.

On December of [[1993]], [[AAA]] had an Anibal benefit card because after the surgery he had gone bankruptcy. This card was actually promoted by the "Jose María Álvarez" foundation, which is a foundation that collects money for homeless kids. This was their way to say thank you to Anibal, who in the past promoted countless benefit cards for that association. Everybody that met him will agree that he was a great man and a class act.

An [[Hijo del Anibal]] made his debut on [[October 24]], [[1993]] at [[Toreo de Cuatro Caminos, Naucalpan, Estado de México | El Toreo]].

Anibal died on March 9, 1994 at age 53 due to a brain tumor.

Atlantis Jr. has found himself unpopular with the hardcore fans, who believe he's coasting off his father's name while luchadors on the undercard work better matches and are more engaging. (Basically, the same problems his father suffered while he was on top, with a side of nepotism allegations.) When crowds trend smarkier (e.g. the [[CMLL vs. AEW (2025)]] shows) he tends to get booed despite being a tecnico.

Debuted in Arena Coliseo Guadalajara in early 2012. Figured to be a forgettable young rudo, at least for the time being, after he quickly lost his mask to Gallo in 2012. Didn't turn out that way and rebounded strong with three big hair wins later that year, including one over local legend [[Javier Cruz]]. Feuded with [[Smaker]] in the second half of the year, and finally won the [[Occidente Middleweight Championship]] from him in their third meeting.

A young luchador who's booked so strongly in one arena often is related to the people who are making the programming decisions for the arena, but there's no known relationship between Barbaro Cavernario to any other luchador.

Springboarded from his Guadalajara success to a limited Mexico City run in mid June 2013 and was well received. Seems likely to be back on the main roster at some point. Came back in early 2014 as after a continuous success in Guadalajara. Won the Gran Alternativa with Mr. Niebla, joined [[Peste Negra]] after, and won [[En Busca de un Idolo, 2014]] as well.

Second generation luchadora técnica. She is the daughter of [[El Valiente]]. Wrestled in Mexico City/State area, Puebla, Cuernavaca, and Pachuca.

The ring name of Miss Olympia represents the connection with her biggest dream in her profession as bodybuilder. Stepping on that scenario and being recognized as one of the first female Mexicans on reaching the highest rank in bodybuilding and winning an award of that magnitude.

Dr. Wagner Jr. was a top tecnico for [[CMLL]] after starting out as a rudo. He's a young legend to the fans, a wrestler with international experience (and success!) and capable of a great match when he wants one. Dr. Wagner is one of the most popular wrestlers in Mexico, and an iconic figure.

Wagner turned tecnico following the death of [[Dr. Wagner|his father.]] The change was fan inspired; Wagner was in a four way mask match on the first [[Arena Mexico]] show after his father's passing, and the fans did not want him to lose his mask that night under any circumstances. Wagner did not lose his mask, and the crowd clung to him after that moment. Wagner and the promotion tried to go back to the status quo after, but the fans cheered him enough to make a change.

Dr. Wagner becoming a tecnico had ripple affects across the promotion. Since he was feuding with [[Canek]], Canek had to turn rudo to continue it. Later, in [[2005]], the fans loudly picked Wagner over [[Atlantis]] when they were setting up a mask versus mask match, to the point where Atlantis was tainted as a tecnico (and had to be turned rudo) and Wagner had become so popular, the match couldn't be done at a profit to all sides.

Even though the mask match never took place, Atlantis and Wagner continued to be rivals, with the idea all sides might one day do the match in a different arena where the money works out better. (The feud with Canek slipped to the wayside.)

Dr. Wagner began a feud with [[LA Park]]. As with Atlantis, the crowd turned on LA Park with no prompting, and he responded in kind. Wagner stuck up for the people of "his house", and he and Park had violent brawls.

El Hijo del Solitario was born on February 9th, 1972 in Guadalajara. His father was [[El Solitario]], one of the most popular luchadores ever who passwed away unexpectedly in 1986. El Hijo del Solitario was only 14 years old at the time of his passing.

He was trained by Flash and [[Asesino Negro]]. He originally competed under the names "El Sica", "El Principe" and "El Maldito. The name of "El Sica", was a name his father had used which was a shortened version of "Othon Banzica". That name was originally used by Solitario's brother before he tragically passed away in the ring.

El Hijo del Solitario debuted in 1990 and became a CMLL regular in 1991. Due to his famous name, he was promoted high on the cards from the start, but never was able to live up to the hype of his name. He stayed in CMLL until about 1993, when he tested the waters in [[UWA]] and [[AAA]] after being stuck in the upper midcard. One of the only main highlights during his stay was a mask vs mask win over [[Talisman Jr. | Talisman Jr]]. He eventually returned and stayed in CMLL until about 1998, when he returned to [[AAA]] for a while, before returning back to the indies.

He had more success as an independent wrestler. He captured the mask of Halcon Infernal on April 6th, 2001 and the hair of [[Misterioso]] on October 31st, 2003. He captured the mask of [[Fantasma de la Quebrada]] on March 21st, 2008 and later captured the mask of Killer Steel in a multi-man cage match. He then captured the hairs of [[Javier Cruz]] and [[Zumbido]] in 2010 and 2011.

He captured the [[WWA World Junior Heavyweight Championship]], one of the few titles in his career, on April 21st, 2013 and as of 2020, is still active. He is often seen in various independent main events, usually with the likes of [[El Hijo de Anibal]] and other independent mainstays.

He announced that there would be a Solitario Jr. on July 2nd, 2025.

One of the only main highlights during his stay was a mask vs mask win over [[Talisman Jr. | Talisman Jr]]. He eventually returned and stayed in CMLL until about 1998, when he returned to [[AAA]] for a while, before returning back to the indies.

He had more success as an independent wrestler. He captured the mask of Halcon Infernal on April 6th, 2001 and the hair of [[Misterioso]] on October 31st, 2003. He captured the mask of [[Fantasma de la Quebrada]] on March 21st, 2008 and later captured the mask of Killer Steel in a multi-man cage match. He then captured the hairs of [[Javier Cruz]] and [[Zumbido]] in 2010 and 2011.

He captured the [[WWA World Junior Heavyweight Championship]], one of the few titles in his career, on April 21st, 2013 and as of 2020, is still active. He is often seen in various independent main events, usually with the likes of [[El Hijo de Anibal]] and other independent mainstays.

== Profile ==

Second generation luchadora técnica. She is the daughter of [[El Valiente]]. Wrestled in Mexico City/State area, Puebla, Cuernavaca, and Pachuca.

The ring name of Miss Olympia represents the connection with her biggest dream in her profession as bodybuilder. Stepping on that scenario and being recognized as one of the first female Mexicans on reaching the highest rank in bodybuilding and winning an award of that magnitude.

Her mask and gear design is a female version of the one of her father, but with modifications of her own taking inspiration on her favorite superheroine Wonder Woman. The wheats represent the symbol Olympia and the representation of the children of the reign, the good seed planted by God according to the bible. The stars represent that she wants to shine and being on the top as them, and beyond that because there is someone who stayed with her in the process and took inspiration of his gear, Astral.
