== History of Championship ==
As part of AAA's evolution towards a US-style promotion, and as a nod to the WCW title of the same division, this championship was created in 2009 to serve as a crown for those not big enough to be in contention for the [[AAA World Heavyweight Championship]]. Unlike the Mexican National championships previously used in this role all wrestlers are eligible for this championship regardless of the home country. No specific weight limit has ever been emphasized for this division, just the broad idea there must be one.

AAA held a [[AAA World Cruiserweight Tournament, 2009|two stage, thirteen man tournament]] to determine the first champion. As tends to happen in AAA tournaments, it was complicated more than most, though there was a greater emphasis on explaining the tournament. As with the previous tournament for the AAA minis championship, the final was a three-way, elimination match.

The title was irregularly defended over the next five years, frequently going many months without being exposed on television and often used as a way just to get a lot of midcarders onto a show. There were individual feuds teased, but singles matches were much more likely to take place on indy appearances.

In the lead up to [[TripleMania XXII]], AAA declared both this championship and the [[AAA Fusion Championship]] would be unified into a new AAA World Cruiserweight Championship. Despite some confusion (mostly on this wiki's part), this cruiserweight championship is considered to have an unbroken lineage - it's being treated as the same championship, just a new belt.

== Ignored MLW Title Change ==

[[Lio Rush]] defeated Laredo Kid in a champion versus champion match also including the MLW Middleweight Championship on MLW TV in 2021. The match is believed to be taped on or around October 21st, 2020, and aired on February 10, 2021. [https://twitter.com/luchalibreaaa/status/1359669185958191104 AAA acknowledged the title change at the time the match aired], then reverted to referring to Laredo Kid as champion without ever referencing the title change on TV. MLW continued to reference Lio Rush as champion in pre-taped episodes. On the May 5th, 2021 episode of MLW Fusion, the promotion explained Laredo Kid kept the belt and believed he was still champion due to what he believed was Lio Rush tapping out during the match. The announcers framed this as a dubious reason; it was also appeared to be retcon explanation to accommodate AAA deciding not to acknowledge the title change.

The '''AAA World Mixed Tag Team Championship''' is a professional wrestling title promoted by [[AAA]]. The champions traditionally consist of one male and one female wrestler.

[[Laredo Kid]] and [[La Hiedra]] are the 23st and current champions. They defeated [[Mr. Iguana]] and [[Lola Vice]] for the titles on July 25, 2026 at Arena San Marcos, [[Aguascalientes]].

== History of Championship ==
The brother/sister team of [[Cinthia Moreno]] and [[Oriental]] were fighting champions, by AAA standards. They defended the championships and faced other pairs in Relevos AAA matches. After their championship reign concluded, Oriental claimed the pair successfully defended the championship over 150 times. There's nothing close to that documented, but the defenses noted made it one of the more frequently defended championships from its time period.

Over the course of 2007, the Morenos were pulled into the Apaches feud and often served as opponents for either [[Gran Apache]] and [[Fabi Apache]] or [[Billy Boy]] and [[Fabi Apache]] as their soap opera played out. Despite the spotlight on their opposition, the Moreno's dominated the results.

Cinthia and Oriental were scheduled to defend the championships in a four way tag team match on [[November 30]], [[2007]], but did not participate. Cinthia had worked thru a shoulder injury during the middle of 2007 and had seemed to finally be back as full strength, only to suffer a worse spine injury from [[Mari Apache]]'s [[Michinoku Driver]]. Cinthia's injury was public before the show, but there was no announcement of a change in the match until just before. Oriental, for the team, handed the belts back to AAA and was promised a title shot when Cinthia was healed. [[La Diabolica]] and [[Espiritu]] took the Moreno's spot in the match.

It took many months for Cinthia to recover. In the meantime, the Apaches made peace with each other and somewhat operated on the tecnico side. When Cinthia returned, she and her brother suaght revenge for her injury. As with the previous chapter in their feud, the tecnicos dominated most of the matches with the rudos winning the final title match at the end, but the tecnicos were now the Apaches and the Morenos ended up with the championship at 2008's [[Verano de Escandalo]] (with a little help from [[La Diabolica]].

The Morenos remain champions, and their feud with the Apaches has not received as much attention since the title change. There were no other obvious challengers and the two sides continue to have title matches on non-television AAA events.

[[Oriental]] decided to leave [[AAA]], and he and [[Cinthia Moreno]] lost to [[Aerostar]] & [[Fabi Apache]] in his farewell. Fabi saw Aerostar as just a teammate and nothing more, but Aero had a (sometimes secret) crush on his partner. Regardless of the reason, Aero helped Fabi battle her baby's mama [[Billy Boy]] and his new girlfriend [[Sexi Star]]. Before the feud was over, Billy and Fabi (sort) of both lost their hair, but the Legion still couldn't get the tag titles in their hands.

The Legion were finally able to take the titles by taking Mari Apache to their side. At [[TripleMania XVIII]], the rudas won a match where the loser would be forced to be a maid for the winners for a month. Mari lost and, while at ringside being a maid, accidentally hit her sister to cost her the tag team titles to [[Alex Koslov]] & [[Christina Von Eerie]].

Aerostar & Fabi came up short a couple times trying to get back the titles, usually due to more Legion involvement. For the second time in three reigns, the male rudo champion (Koslov) decided to leave the company. Fabi Apache won the titles back, this time with frequent Koslov opponent/admirer [[Pimpinela Escarlata]].

The two did not get a chance to defend their championships. Fabi Apache, and the rest of her family, continued to feud with rudo referee [[Hijo de Tirantes]]. Tirantes attacked Fabi after a match, injuring her leg with a club. Fabi returned early to help defend these tag team titles, but Tirantes again got involved, helping [[Alan Stone]] and [[Jennifer Blake]] win these belts for [[La Sociedad]].

[[Pentagón Jr.]] & [[Sexy Star]] were the most recent champions. They defeated [[Drago (AAA)|Drago]] & [[Faby Apache]] and [[Cuervo]] & [[Mari Apache]], in [[April 19]], [[2014]] in [[Gimnasio Juan de la Barrera]]. The championship became vacant when Sexy Star quit or retired from AAA and Pentagon relinquished his half of the championship on [[February 19]], [[2015]].

Niño Hamburguesa & Big Mami were the 14th champions, They defeated Venum & Lady Shani on June 19, 2017 in Nuevo Laredo to win the vacant championship.

While 1/2 of the 15th champions, [[Villano III Jr.]] announced he was leaving AAA in October 2020. Villano initially declared he'd like to continue to defend the championship. AAA indicated that wouldn't be allowed if he left AAA, and Villano III Jr. decided to abandon his share of the championship. Both Villano & Lady Maravilla said AAA would allow Maravilla to continue to be champion with a yet to be announced replacement partner. Eventually, Villano returned to make the final defense of the title where he would lose it.

[[Sammy Guevara]] & [[Tay Conti]] were 17th champions. They defeated [[Arez]] & [[Chik Tormenta]], [[Látigo]] & [[Lady Maravilla|Maravilla]], and [[Komander]] & [[Sexy Star II]] on April 30th, 2022 in [[Estadio de Beisbol Monterrey]]. Due to an apparent injury, Sammy had [[Ángel Mortal Jr.|La Parka Negra]] substitute for him through most of the match before he rejoined the fray at the end. Naturally, rudo referee [[El Hijo del Tirantes]] allowed this display. They were stripped of the titles after failing to make any defenses.

The '''AAA World Mixed Tag Team Championship''' is a professional wrestling title promoted by [[AAA]]. The champions traditionally consist of one male and one female wrestler.

== Current Champions ==

[[Laredo Kid]] and [[La Hiedra]] are the 23st and current champions. They defeated [[Mr. Iguana]] and [[Lola Vice]] for the titles on July 25, 2026 at Arena San Marcos, [[Aguascalientes]].

== History of Championship ==
The brother/sister team of [[Cinthia Moreno]] and [[Oriental]] were fighting champions, by AAA standards. They defended the championships and faced other pairs in Relevos AAA matches. After their championship reign concluded, Oriental claimed the pair successfully defended the championship over 150 times. There's nothing close to that documented, but the defenses noted made it one of the more frequently defended championships from its time period.

Over the course of 2007, the Morenos were pulled into the Apaches feud and often served as opponents for either [[Gran Apache]] and [[Fabi Apache]] or [[Billy Boy]] and [[Fabi Apache]] as their soap opera played out. Despite the spotlight on their opposition, the Moreno's dominated the results.

Cinthia and Oriental were scheduled to defend the championships in a four way tag team match on [[November 30]], [[2007]], but did not participate. Cinthia had worked thru a shoulder injury during the middle of 2007 and had seemed to finally be back as full strength, only to suffer a worse spine injury from [[Mari Apache]]'s [[Michinoku Driver]]. Cinthia's injury was public before the show, but there was no announcement of a change in the match until just before. Oriental, for the team, handed the belts back to AAA and was promised a title shot when Cinthia was healed. [[La Diabolica]] and [[Espiritu]] took the Moreno's spot in the match.

It took many months for Cinthia to recover. In the meantime, the Apaches made peace with each other and somewhat operated on the tecnico side. When Cinthia returned, she and her brother suaght revenge for her injury. As with the previous chapter in their feud, the tecnicos dominated most of the matches with the rudos winning the final title match at the end, but the tecnicos were now the Apaches and the Morenos ended up with the championship at 2008's [[Verano de Escandalo]] (with a little help from [[La Diabolica]].

The Morenos remain champions, and their feud with the Apaches has not received as much attention since the title change. There were no other obvious challengers and the two sides continue to have title matches on non-television AAA events.

[[Oriental]] decided to leave [[AAA]], and he and [[Cinthia Moreno]] lost to [[Aerostar]] & [[Fabi Apache]] in his farewell. Fabi saw Aerostar as just a teammate and nothing more, but Aero had a (sometimes secret) crush on his partner. Regardless of the reason, Aero helped Fabi battle her baby's mama [[Billy Boy]] and his new girlfriend [[Sexi Star]]. Before the feud was over, Billy and Fabi (sort) of both lost their hair, but the Legion still couldn't get the tag titles in their hands.

The Legion were finally able to take the titles by taking Mari Apache to their side. At [[TripleMania XVIII]], the rudas won a match where the loser would be forced to be a maid for the winners for a month. Mari lost and, while at ringside being a maid, accidentally hit her sister to cost her the tag team titles to [[Alex Koslov]] & [[Christina Von Eerie]].

Aerostar & Fabi came up short a couple times trying to get back the titles, usually due to more Legion involvement. For the second time in three reigns, the male rudo champion (Koslov) decided to leave the company. Fabi Apache won the titles back, this time with frequent Koslov opponent/admirer [[Pimpinela Escarlata]].

The two did not get a chance to defend their championships. Fabi Apache, and the rest of her family, continued to feud with rudo referee [[Hijo de Tirantes]]. Tirantes attacked Fabi after a match, injuring her leg with a club. Fabi returned early to help defend these tag team titles, but Tirantes again got involved, helping [[Alan Stone]] and [[Jennifer Blake]] win these belts for [[La Sociedad]].

[[Pentagón Jr.]] & [[Sexy Star]] were the most recent champions. They defeated [[Drago (AAA)|Drago]] & [[Faby Apache]] and [[Cuervo]] & [[Mari Apache]], in [[April 19]], [[2014]] in [[Gimnasio Juan de la Barrera]]. The championship became vacant when Sexy Star quit or retired from AAA and Pentagon relinquished his half of the championship on [[February 19]], [[2015]].

Niño Hamburguesa & Big Mami were the 14th champions, They defeated Venum & Lady Shani on June 19, 2017 in Nuevo Laredo to win the vacant championship.

While 1/2 of the 15th champions, [[Villano III Jr.]] announced he was leaving AAA in October 2020. Villano initially declared he'd like to continue to defend the championship. AAA indicated that wouldn't be allowed if he left AAA, and Villano III Jr. decided to abandon his share of the championship. Both Villano & Lady Maravilla said AAA would allow Maravilla to continue to be champion with a yet to be announced replacement partner. Eventually, Villano returned to make the final defense of the title where he would lose it.

[[Sammy Guevara]] & [[Tay Conti]] were 17th champions. They defeated [[Arez]] & [[Chik Tormenta]], [[Látigo]] & [[Lady Maravilla|Maravilla]], and [[Komander]] & [[Sexy Star II]] on April 30th, 2022 in [[Estadio de Beisbol Monterrey]]. Due to an apparent injury, Sammy had [[Ángel Mortal Jr.|La Parka Negra]] substitute for him through most of the match before he rejoined the fray at the end. Naturally, rudo referee [[El Hijo del Tirantes]] allowed this display. They were stripped of the titles after failing to make any defenses.

'''Poder del Norte''' is a pair of rudo trios in [[AAA]]. The first version started out on AAA shows in Northern Mexico, and got onto the TV roster in mid 2009, usually working the first or second match and facing members of the [[Real Fuerza Aérea AAA]]. The second was introduced as a main event rudo trio.

The new Rio Bravo didn't last long, and Tito Santana and Tigre Cota were eventually folded into [[La Milicia]]. Cota & Santana have teamed with the original Rio Bravo back in northern Mexico, but neither Bravo has returned to AAA.

Malayo was originally a [[Puebla]] indy guy who appears to have been trained by [[Centella de Oro]]. He made his [[Arena Puebla]] debut for [[CMLL]] a year into his career and became a regular by 2016, even becoming one of their trainers (and eventually losing his mask to one of his own top students).

== History of Championship ==
As part of AAA's evolution towards a US-style promotion, and as a nod to the WCW title of the same division, this championship was created in 2009 to serve as a crown for those not big enough to be in contention for the [[AAA World Heavyweight Championship]]. Unlike the Mexican National championships previously used in this role all wrestlers are eligible for this championship regardless of the home country. No specific weight limit has ever been emphasized for this division, just the broad idea there must be one.

AAA held a [[AAA World Cruiserweight Tournament, 2009|two stage, thirteen man tournament]] to determine the first champion. As tends to happen in AAA tournaments, it was complicated more than most, though there was a greater emphasis on explaining the tournament. As with the previous tournament for the AAA minis championship, the final was a three-way, elimination match.

The title was irregularly defended over the next five years, frequently going many months without being exposed on television and often used as a way just to get a lot of midcarders onto a show. There were individual feuds teased, but singles matches were much more likely to take place on indy appearances.

In the lead up to [[TripleMania XXII]], AAA declared both this championship and the [[AAA Fusion Championship]] would be unified into a new AAA World Cruiserweight Championship. Despite some confusion (mostly on this wiki's part), this cruiserweight championship is considered to have an unbroken lineage - it's being treated as the same championship, just a new belt.

== Ignored MLW Title Change ==

[[Lio Rush]] defeated Laredo Kid in a champion versus champion match also including the MLW Middleweight Championship on MLW TV in 2021. The match is believed to be taped on or around October 21st, 2020, and aired on February 10, 2021. [https://twitter.com/luchalibreaaa/status/1359669185958191104 AAA acknowledged the title change at the time the match aired], then reverted to referring to Laredo Kid as champion without ever referencing the title change on TV. MLW continued to reference Lio Rush as champion in pre-taped episodes. On the May 5th, 2021 episode of MLW Fusion, the promotion explained Laredo Kid kept the belt and believed he was still champion due to what he believed was Lio Rush tapping out during the match. The announcers framed this as a dubious reason; it was also appeared to be retcon explanation to accommodate AAA deciding not to acknowledge the title change.

Chessman is as good with comedy tecnico as brawling tecnicos as flying tecnicos. However, much to his own personal disappointment, he's never seen as quite good enough to be champion of the group.

Chessman himself was confused at what the new character was supposed to be when it was first proposed to him, unsure if Pena meant him to be a cheese or a chess piece. Pena explained it was actual a takeoff of notorious US criminal Caryl Chessman, who had used a red light in his kidnappings. Chessman's been a long time ally (and occasional rival) of [[Charly Manson]], who has a similar origin for his character.

Chessman was a fubtol prospect prior to his lucha libre career. He has soccer in his blood - his father was on a championship winning team - but says he never really liked playing himself. Chessman says his soccer career ended when he accidentally injured a foreign player in a practice match.

A [[AAA]] group between 2018 and 2019, though it started in [[MDA]] with a different roster.

MAD debuted in AAA on April 21, 2018 when [[Kevin Kross]], [[Juventud Guerrera]] and [[Teddy Hart]] attacked [[Dr. Wagner Jr.]] after the main event of the show. They helped to stoke the flame of a rivalry between [[Psycho Clown]] and [[Hijo del Fantasma]], the latter of whom would later turn rudo and join [[Los Mercenarios (AAA)|Mercenarios]]. At [[Verano de Escandalo, 2018]], MAD had a mystery member entering the Mega Championship match. This turned out to be [[Jeff Jarrett]], who won with the help of [[Konnan]], marking the latter's official return to AAA.

Super Fly would then join the group after revealing himself as the man who attacked [[Octagon]].

The group, especially the Stones, feuded with [[Elegido]].

On [[October 18]], [[2013]] at [[Heroes Inmortales VII|Heroes Inmortales]], [[Juventud Guerrera]] made his return to [[AAA]] to distract [[Crazy Boy]] and [[Joe Lider]] in their match for the [[AAA World Tag Team Championship]]. After the match, Guerrera came to the ring to attack the [[Mexican Powers]], making a heel turn to surprise of the public. Guerrera recruited [[Eterno]] and [[Steve Pain]] to form '''La Anarquía''', with whom debuted on [[November 3]], [[2013]] in [[Tonala]], [[Jalisco]].

On [[November 22]], [[2013]] in Plaza de Toros San Marcos of [[Aguascalientes (city)|Aguascalientes]], [[Eterno]] suffered an ankle injury that forced him to leave from wrestling for several weeks. [[Daga]] and [[Pentagon Jr.]] began to replace Eterno until his recovering. At begins [[2014]], Eterno was full-recovered and returned with his partners. Soon after, [[Juventud Guerrera]] left the promotion and the group. On [[April 19]], [[2014]], [[Daga]] declared himself as the new leader of La Anarquía. On [[July 29]], Steve Pain left.

== Group History ==

The group started with [[Laredo Kid]], [[Super Fly]], [[Rey Cometa]] and [[Nemesis (AAA)]] in early matches on AAA TV taping. For a time after, pretty much any young debuting high flier in AAA ended up in the group, especially on non-television events. At the group's largest point, the original four were also joined by [[El Angel]], [[Aerostar]], and [[Pegasso]] as a seven man group. That was more people than you can have a match, so guys (usually Nemesis) have ended up in openers instead, or others (Rey Cometa) disappeared for stretches off TV. The numbers worked in AAA's favor for spot shows, as there were often two different yet complete Fuerza Aerea trios working different parts of the country on the same night.

Laredo Kid was positioned as the star of the group early on, but long absences due to leg injuries have sabotaged plans for him. In his absence, both Super Fly and Aerostar were given own individual storylines and are have since been treated as the bigger stars. This turned into a storyline where Super Fly annoyed his partners by talking about how he's a main event guy and obviously leader of the group, with his partners disagreed. This seemed to be headed to Super Fly turning on his partners in 2009, but AAA changed their mind and aired a short segment where [[Octagon]] talked sense into Super Fly and kept him in the group. The storyline restarted in 2010, with Octagon unable to dissuade Super Fly this time, instead being beaten up with Aerostar as part of Super Fly's rudo turn.

Rey Cometa and Pegasso left AAA in early summer of 2008, due to lack of work. Their departure couple with Laredo's injury and Nemesis's vanishing led to Angel being declared an official member for a while, but he also ended up leaving. Fellow opening card tecnicos [[Gato Eveready]] and [[Argenis]] were also linked to this group at times, but didn't seem to be official TV members. When Angel left AAA in 2009, Argenis took his place as unofficial member to round out the numbers. [[Dizzy]] has also worked as a member on non-televised shows, as has [[Atomic Boy]] after moving up from the minis division. Super Fly's turn on the group dropped them down to only two official members left ([[Aerostar]] & [[Laredo Kid]]) with others filling out the trio, until [[Argos]] joined the promotion six months later.

== Independent/CMLL Version ==

After leaving AAA, [[Rey Cometa]] & [[Pegasso]] continued to team in the independent scene. Pegasso often used 'Pegasso Xtreme' as his name during this period, presumably over confusion over who owned the 'Pegasso' name. Cometa and Pegasso were still promoted as Real Fuerza Aerea despite no long being in AAA and teamed with various wrestlers to complete a trio. AAA appeared to let this go without fighting over the name (perhaps because they dropped 'AAA' from it.)

Their most high profile run during this period was in [[IWRG]], teaming with [[Freelance]] as the third member. The trio earned a shot at [[Los Oficiales]]' [[Distrito Federal Trios Championship]], but came up short.

Later in 2008, Cometa and Pegasso signed with [[CMLL]] full time. Initially, the pair did interviews suggesting they might continue teaming as '''Real Fuerza Aerea CMLL'''. This time, members of Real Fuerza Aerea AAA protested. Rey Cometa and Pegasso dropped the name, vowing to come up with a new one. Rey Cometa and Pegasso ended up teaming with [[Diamante (CMLL)|Diamante]] in 2010 calling themselves [[La Fuerza Rapida]] for a short time, but drifted away from Diamante. They have yet to actually come up with a new group name, but continue to operate as a tag team.

[[Terrible]] and [[Texano Jr.]] both had turned rudo to become part of [[Perros del Mal]], and stayed in CMLL when the leaders of the group left the promotion. Remaining members Terrible, Texano Jr., Averno, Mephisto and Ephesto formed [[Hijos del Averno]] as a replacement group, but Terrible & Texano drifted away from the trio as time went by. Terrible and Texano formed short lived unofficial trios with [[Hector Garza]] and [[Vangelis]] before TRT. Rey Bucanero had been part of [[Pesta Negra]], but was unhappy with the silliness of the group (and was generally keeping the spot warm for the frequently absent Mr. Niebla.)

Bucanero split from Peste Negra and formed a new group with Terrible & Texano. The name of the group is based on the first letters of each team member. Terrible & Texano had been wearing "TT" gear, which was modified to fit an R in the middle. [[Zacarias el Perico]] accompanied and an actual dog accompanied the trio in their first appearances, but Zacarias was kicked out (and back into La Peste Negra) and the dog was not mentioned again. [[La Comandante]] replaced the parrot as the second of the group.

Texano left CMLL in late 2011. Bucanero had been a mentor of [[Tiger]] on the [[El Luchador]] show, and was the obvious replacement. Tiger has since claimed he wasn't just added to the group because his name started with T (noting they could've picked Titan or Triton) but he was not treated as a star on the level of his partners before being put into this trio. Rey Bucanero missed a lot of 2012 due to injuries and personal matters, and the new trio has not had momentum as a team. Terrible has had singles success while being the only stable member of the group, and appears to be the defacto leader.

Terrible and Rey Bucanero briefly became the Latin American division of Japanese mega-stable Bullet Club in 2013, when they teamed with Tama Tonga for the first time.

In 2015 after Tiger started to team with his family an Vangelis seemingly disappeared from the group, [[Shocker]] joined Bucanero and Terrible to become [[Los Terriblemente Guapos y un Rey]]

Group of wrestlers who all left [[AAA]]. Originally formed in Jan. 2017 when [[Pentagón Jr.]], [[Daga]], [[Garza Jr.]] all left AAA at the same time and made surprise debuts at a [[The Crash]] show. [[Fénix (AAA)|Fénix]] who had left AAA earlier, immediately joined them where they described their group as rebelling against AAA and their bad treatment of luchadors. == Biography ==

Rey Bucanero is a CMLL wrestler since the 90s, who was also briefly seen in WWE and TNA. He's most well known for his early 2000s tag team with [[Ultimo Guerrero]], acclaimed as the best team in Mexico and perhaps the world during their run. Bucanero has spent most of his career as a rudo.

Bucanero is the nephew of [[Pirata Morgan]], and moved in with his uncle after his parents divorced. Bucanero has talked about being around [[Arena Mexico]] a lot as he grew, kind of becoming an unofficial mascot for the wrestlers. Though he debuted at the early age of 17, Bucanero was training for many years ahead of his debut.

Bucanero was an early and opening match wrestler for the first half of the 90s, with participating in tournaments (and losing in the first round) being the few new noteworthy matches. He's also credited with winning masks at minor shows. Bucanero started to move up to the terceras in 1996, and broke out by winning the 1996 [[Gran Alternativa#1996|Gran Alternativa]]. Bucanero earned the right to wrestle in the semimain the next two weeks, and his team with [[Emilio Charles Jr.]] & [[Satanico]] gelled well. In March of 1997, the same team won the [[CMLL World Trios Championship]], although they quickly lost the titles. Despite the short reign, Bucanero was solidly encamped as a third/fourth match rudo from that moment on.

Bucanero also started had a slight bit of international success. He joined [[WWF]] in late 1998 to work on their [[Super Astros]] latino focused show, as the unmasked '''Rey Ortiz''' despite not having lost his mask in Mexico. Bucanero had high hopes going in, but he was only used as a enhancement level heel. Bucanero finished up with WWF in spring of 1999. Bucanero lost his mask to Shocker on [[July 17]], [[1999]] to [[Shocker]] in the finals of a [[ruleta de la muerte]] tournament, probably because he'd been seen too much unmasked. It was after this where Bucanero adopted the facepaint he's used the rest of his career.

In 1998, [[Ultimo Guerrero]] jumped to [[CMLL]] and started out around the same level. Bucanero and Guerrero are believed to have teamed for the first time on [[February 13]], but it was just a coincidental teaming of two rudos who were being positioned around the same level, as would continue to happen thru the year. The two became an actual unit in 1999, when [[Satanico]] picked them to restart the [[Infernales]]. The group gave more attention to the talented youngsters by the presence of Satanico, and the three were frequently teamed together thru 1999.

At the tail end of 1999, the Infernales kept running into tecnico trios led by young [[Tarzan Boy]], starting a new rivalary. Tarzan defeated Bucanero in a special singles match on [[12/25|Christmas Day]] 1999, and feuded with Satanico in particular. Meanwhile, Bucanero and Guerrero began having success on their own, [[Ultimo Guerrero]] winning ciberneticos, the two winning an incrieble trios tournament with tecnico [[Mr. Niebla]], and triumphing in a 16 team tournament to win the [[CMLL World Tag Team Championship]] in September of 2000

When former champions [[Negro Casas]] & [[El Hijo del Santo]] returned to feud with the new champions, the Tarzan Boy/Satanico feud continued to take place in the background. Bucanero and Guerrero surprisingly turned on [[Satanico]] and sided with [[Tarzan Boy]] in late 2000. The three younger wrestlers formed their own version of the Infernales, and feuded with Satanico over the rights to the name. Satanico recruited various rudos to go after his old pupils for 2001, and eventually 'created' new Infernales [[Averno]] (Rencor Latino, reborn) & [[Mephisto]] to fight for the name. Bucanero and the rest of his Infernales responded by recruiting Averno's tecnico rival, [[Mascara Magica]], to join their rudo side. After Satanico cost Guerrero and Bucanero the tag team titles to Santo & Casas, the two sides agreed to a cage match with the rights for the name and mask/hair on the line. Mascara Magica was the last left in, so he lost his mask and Satanico's group got to keep the Infernales name.

The four person unit (Bucanero, Guerrero, Tarzan, Magica) renamed themselves [[Guerreros del Infierno]], which is the name that's most stuck despite the variations changes in the group. Bucanero & Guerrero continued feuding with El Hijo del Santo and Negro Casas for the tag team championship into 2002, with many highly regarded matches. The younger wrestlers were finally able to recapture the championship on [[May 31]], and successfully defended them against all challengers for the next two years, only briefly losing to [[Shocker]] & [[LA Park]]. The run pushed the team to the main event of most shows, and the championships were the most important in Mexico during their reign.

As a trio, Bucanero, Guerrero and Tarzan came close to winning the [[CMLL World Trios Championship]] on multiple occasions, but usually failed in the trios match. On his own, Bucanero had a short feud with [[Brazo de Platino]], taking his hair, but losing his own hair to [[Vampiro]] at the end of [[2002]].

Ultimo Guerrero & Rey Bucanero lost the tag team titles for the last time on [[June 25]], [[2004]] to [[Atlantis]] & [[Blue Panther]], but Bucanero continued as a top rudo wrestler and the two continued to team up, just without all the defined feuds. Bucanero teamed with [[Olimpico]] to challenge (and lose) to [[Hiroshi Tanahashi]] & [[Shinsuke Nakamura]] when they brough the IWGP World Tag Team titles to Mexico in 2005. A year later, Bucanero and [[Tarzan Boy]] defeated Perros del Mal members [[Damian 666]] & [[Mr. Aguila]] as the two groups feuded.

Rey Bucanero began having issues with his teammates in May of 2006, culminating with his original partners Tarzan Boy and Ultimo Guerrero turning on him in an Arena Coliseo match. Bucanero continued to defend the Light Heavyweight championship around Mexico for the next two and a half years, but the importance of the championship dropped during his reign, due to Bucanero never being in big feuds around it. Given the momentum of those involved, it seemed as if Toscano's side was scheduled to lose, until Toscano came down with a (questionable) injury. [[Hijo del Lizmark]] was nominated to take Lizmark's place, but Warrior did not want to team with him. Bucanero, angry at Shocker for not showing up to the press conference for the match, agreed to team with Warrior himself, and was defeated by Shocker & Lizmark.

While Bucanero lost his hair, the match did start his momentum towards rejoining the rudo side. Bucanero and Guerrero reunited their team as part of a relevos increible match on [[January 18]], [[2008]], and Bucanero was back in the Guerreros (now the [[Guerreros del Atlantida]] within a few weeks. Bucanero had no particular long turn rivalaries, but teamed up with Guerrero and [[Atlantis]] often in 2008 and 2009.

Immediately after the [[2009 H1N1 flu shut down]], Bucanero started feuding with [[Ephesto]]. It began when Bucanero was sitting in the front row of the first show back, Ephesto happened to collide with him after a dive, and the two suddenly got into a fight. Bucanero and Ephesto interceded in each other's matches for the next couple weeks, leading to Bucanero putting up the Light Heavyweight championships versus Ephesto. After they split the first two falls, Rey Bucanero severely hurt his knee on a missed dive out of the ring. Bucanero attempted to continue, but the doctors put a stop to the match, and Bucanero missed most of the rest of the year recovering from ACL surgery.

Bucanero returned at the tail end of 2009, right back to the main event rudo spot, still teaming with Atlantis and Ultimo Guerrero. There had been talk about resuming his feud with Ephesto, but there's been no movement in that direction.

Bucanero is considered one of the better wrestlers in Mexico, especially during the peak of his tag team run with Guerrero. He's not been the singles star Guerrero has, but he's still one of CMLL's better known stars. There's been occasional rumors of Bucanero jumping to [[AAA]], particularly when his uncle [[Pirata Morgan]] has been in the promotion, but Rey's never left the group he started with.

== Biography ==

Rey Bucanero is a CMLL wrestler since the 90s, who was also briefly seen in WWE and TNA. He's most well known for his early 2000s tag team with [[Ultimo Guerrero]], acclaimed as the best team in Mexico and perhaps the world during their run. Bucanero has spent most of his career as a rudo.

Bucanero is the nephew of [[Pirata Morgan]], and moved in with his uncle after his parents divorced. Bucanero has talked about being around [[Arena Mexico]] a lot as he grew, kind of becoming an unofficial mascot for the wrestlers. Though he debuted at the early age of 17, Bucanero was training for many years ahead of his debut.

Bucanero was an early and opening match wrestler for the first half of the 90s, with participating in tournaments (and losing in the first round) being the few new noteworthy matches. He's also credited with winning masks at minor shows. Bucanero started to move up to the terceras in 1996, and broke out by winning the 1996 [[Gran Alternativa#1996|Gran Alternativa]]. Bucanero earned the right to wrestle in the semimain the next two weeks, and his team with [[Emilio Charles Jr.]] & [[Satanico]] gelled well. In March of 1997, the same team won the [[CMLL World Trios Championship]], although they quickly lost the titles. Despite the short reign, Bucanero was solidly encamped as a third/fourth match rudo from that moment on.

Bucanero also started had a slight bit of international success. He joined [[WWF]] in late 1998 to work on their [[Super Astros]] latino focused show, as the unmasked '''Rey Ortiz''' despite not having lost his mask in Mexico. Bucanero had high hopes going in, but he was only used as a enhancement level heel. Bucanero finished up with WWF in spring of 1999. == Biography ==
Charly Manson was a part of [[AAA]], and has spent most of his career there (though he's had short stints with [[IWRG]] and [[CMLL]].) Manson's been part of many different factions of AAA - [[Vatos Locos]], [[Vipers]], [[LLL]], [[La Secta]], and [[Vipers Revolution]]. In November 2006 Manson joined [[Los Hell Brothers]] along with Cibernetico and Chessman and feuded with the remaining [[La Secta]].

As the name indicates, Manson's look and entrance is very inspired by [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marilyn_Manson_%28person%29 US Musician Marilyn Manson] and serial killer Charles Manson.

Charly's had many high points in his career, the low point was an ill advised fall from a ladder during a 2001 match. The idea was for him to fall thru tables to break his fall, but the tables were not close enough, and Manson crashed to the hard cement floor. Manson was severely hurt, suffering a completely fractured left fibula.

A metal plate was placed on the back of Manson's fibula, to keep the leg intact. Charly had a long recovery, and a rough one without his wrestling income, but did return to the ring in 2002. Manson changed his style and never did another ladder match, but seemed to physically recover from the injury. Manson continued to progress as a wrestler, reaching a solid upper midcard level.

Unfortunately, Manson broke the same bone and plate in May of 2008, just on a simple tope. This time, it required the plate being inserted inside the fibula instead of aside it. Manson returned from his latest injury in early 2009, with much reduced mobility in the repaired leg.

== AAA Controversy ==

Charly Manson was advertised in AAA's Heroes Inmortales III event in a hair vs hair match against Chessman. Charly Manson walked out of the promotion weeks before the show. AAA officials stated that if Manson did not wrestle in the event they would seek legal action. Manson no showed the event and his real life brother Electroshock took his place losing the match and his hair. Charly Manson has since joined up and wrestled in the Perros Del Mal promotion.

== Perros del Mal ==

Charly spent most of his time in Perros del Mal feuding with [[X-Fly]], including losing the [[Mexican National Heavyweight Championship]] to the larger wrestler. In another controversy, Manson then lost the same time on a smaller show, and the second loss was photographed and posted on the internet. The Perros del Mal promotion claimed no knowledge of what happened, and had X-Fly appear with the title belt at a press conference. The Mexico City commission acknowledged the issue only to clear the Perros of any wrong doing, and never appeared to take action on the matter. Charly never talked about the situation, which eventually blew over. Manson went on to take X-Fly's hair, but left Perros del Mal before ever winning the title back.

== Invasor ==

When the Perros del Mal started moving towards AAA, Manson split from the promotion and started working independent shows where CMLL luchadors worked against indy talent. Charly was not one of the initial ex-AAA luchadors brought in for CMLL's [[The Invasors]] faction, nor did he work the [[2010 Sin Salida]] show featuring CMLL versus Invasors, but apparently made a good enough impression on the CMLL wrestlers that he was brought in as part of the group in July 2010. Before long, Charly had singles matches with [[Mistico]] in [[Arena Puebla]] (a loss) and [[Hijo del Fantamsa]] in [[Arena Mexico]] (a win) and was generally treated as a star.

In fall of 2011, [[Charly Manson]] defeated [[Negro Casas]] for his hair, while [[Rey Bucanero]] defeated [[Mr. Aguila]] for his hair in Invasors vs CMLL rudo matchups. CMLL appeared to be setting up Manson and Bucanero in a battle of winners, but Charly left CMLL with no notice within days of Bucanero's win.

== Masked Warriors ==

Manson wrestled as '''Charlie Malice''' for the [[Lucha Libre USA]] promotion, at the same time as he was fulfilling [[CMLL]] and independent commitments. Besides the name change, he's essentially the same character as always. Unlike in CMLL, Malice was a tecnico in the US promotion, and feuded with fellow AAA alumni [[Rellik]] in the first season. Charlie Malice reached the finals of the [[Lucha Libre USA Heavyweight Tournament, 2010]], but lost due to outside interference to [[Lizmark Jr.]]. Manson feuded with [[The Right]] during the second season, up until his arrest.

== AAA ==
Manson returned to AAA at [[Guerra de Titanes, 2010]], when he was announced as a surprise new member of the rudo stable [[Los Bizarros]]. He wrestled [[Zorro]] for the [[AAA World Heavyweight Championship|Mega Championship]] at [[Rey de Reyes, 2011]], but lost. Manson's team won at [[TripleMania XIX]] against [[Drago (AAA)|Drago]], [[La Parka]], [[Ozz]] and [[Octagon]].

== Arrest ==

Charly Manson and friend Adrian López Reyes were arrested on [[April 24]], [[2011]] after getting into a fight with police officers. One police officer suffered a fractured skull, the other suffered a fractured nose. Manson's friend Reyes was shot in the foot in the skirmish. Charly was released on bail on May 4th, with assistance from AAA, and returned to appearing on AAA shows. Bail was revoked in late June, and Manson was arrested after the [[June 30]]th AAA TV taping in [[Hidalgo]].

On [[February 23]], [[2012]], the television show [[Sobre el Ring]] reported Charly Manson was sentenced for 15 years in prison. The show later disavowed the statement, and other reports say he will be in jail for a fewer amount of years. In August 26, 2013 he was sentenced for seven years and four months in prison of which he had already served two years. In 2015 he was released from prison for good behavior.

== Elite ==

After several years of being outside of the limelight, Charly Manson returned to lucha libre at the CMLL show in Arena Mexico on [[December 4]], [[2015]] announcing he was debuting for [[All Elite|Lucha Libre Elite]] on [[December 6]], 2015, joining his friend Cibernetico. Charly announced he was changing his name to Sharlie Rockstar as well.

== Notes ==

Her family are longtime Lucha Libre fans. When she was twelve years old her older brother brought her to a wrestling show and since then she never stopped watching it. She admired what the luchadores do and she wanted to do the same too. She met [[Mr. Tempest (90s)|Mr. Tempest]] and asked him to train her. He brought her to [[Arena Coliseo Mexicali]] where he was one of the trainers at that time. When Mr. Tempest founded his own professional wrestling school she continued the rest of her training with him until her professional debut. She describes her days of training as very hard in which she had to make a lot of sacrifices. For instance, she had difficulties in learning how to roll on the mat and Mr. Tempest known as a very strict trainer put her to roll on the floor.

She debuted on April 25, 2014 along with [[Chango Asesino]] & [[Black Master (Mexicali)]] against [[Thunder Kid]] (who is also Alumni from Mr Tempest Wrestling School), [[Eragon]] & [[Datura]] at Gimnasio Ichinoe. She is presented under the catchaphrase of "La Rudeza Hecha Belleza" (The Rudeness Made Beauty)

Her gimmick is based on the comic book/cartoon character from the GI JOE series. The idea came from Mr. Tempest and she like it. During her first matches she donned a mask of her maestro as an homage. For this reason, in her first matches she was nicknamed '''Miss Tempest''' or '''Lady Tempest'''. She changed the mask design for one of her own. When she began her wrestling career there were very few luchadoras in Mexicali. Most of them were retired or innactive. Baronessa, became the first of a new wave of luchadoras in Baja California, particularly in Mexicali. After her new luchadoras came up and began to compete.

On May 27, 2017 in Cholomania, the Anniversary Event of Promociones Cholo de Tijuana she allied with her longtime rival [[Lady Lee]] to become the first Women's Tag Team Champions of this promotion defeating [[Marcela]] & [[Sanely]]. They had a successful title defense against [[Marcela]] & [[Sanely]] on July 7, 2017 in Acapulco, Guerrero. On September 11 and 12 she had a tour with the promotion [[Generación XXI]]. On September 11, 2017 she was the surprise contender for the [[Generación XXI Women's Championship]] in Iraputato, Guanajuato. Her presentation in Queretaro was on September 12. Since 2018, she has wrestled in most states of Mexico with different promotions, most notably with Promo Luchas, DTU, Lucha Libre Real, and KAOZ. On November 24, 2019 she made her debut at Nación Lucha Libre against [[Goya Kong]] and [[Tyra Fly]]. She got her second reign as Baja California Women's champion on January 1, 2020 defeating, Princesa Hernández and [[Lady Lee]].

On June 27, 2021 she became the first Robles Promotions Women's Champion defeating [[La Comandante 502]], [[Hija del Zombie]], [[Estrellita]], [[Perla Negra]], [[Kik Balam]] & [[Reina del Sur]] in Arena Guatemala México.

== Profile ==
Debuted as Dulce Poly in FILL and went to AAA in 2007. In 2009, became the only Mexican woman to be a member of [[La Legión Extranjera]], but was cut from the group and buried after travelling to try out for [[WWE]]'s FCW territory (she failed, as WWE officials judged her to be a subpar wrestler and not pretty enough while unmasked). She would eventually return, by which time the group had been subsumed into [[La Sociedad]]. Had runs with the [[AAA Reina de Reinas]] title and the [[AAA World Mixed Tag Team Championship]], and was never beaten for either (thanks to her pregnancy, and her first retirement, respectively). Also appeared in [[Lucha Underground]], where she was one of the most popular Mexican stars there.

Briefly retired in 2016 to pursue a boxing career (she has an overall record of 5-0, 1 KO). She returned to AAA in 2017, but was fired after an infamous moment where she legitimately attempted to break [[Rosemary]]'s arm with an armbar. Her career since then has been largely ignominous, with her largest stage being received in [[Nacion Lucha Libre]]. Somehow became even more of a leper in 2021 when she started ''another'' fight, this time with [[Diosa Quetzal]].

== Bio ==
Young ruda who quickly rose up the ranks in [[CMLL]]'s Women's division. Achieved success competing for CMLL sister promotion REINA in Japan. Won the [[Mexican National Women's Championship]] from [[Estrellita]] in early 2015 but had a set back after suffering an ankle injury. Since then, bounced back strong and back at the top.

On May 21, 2018 Zeuxis announced via her Facebook page that she had left CMLL, presumably to enter the WWE Mae Young Classic. She returned in 2023.

[[AAA]] tecnica for all of the 00s. Esterllita was a regular in women's matches for most of those years, but rarely the focus of them.

One of many who left AAA in the springof 2010 due to lack of opportunities, and ended up in [[CMLL]] as part of [[Los Invasores]] a few months later. Worked as ruda for the first time in her career, teaming with previous rival [[Tiffany]]. Left the Invasores and returned to her normal tecnica character in 2011, starting a long term feud with [[Amapola]].

Estrellita became a main character on season 2 of [[El Luchador (A&E series)]], starting a relationship with [[Puma King]] and feuding with his stepmother [[Princesa Blanca]]. The feud carried over to CMLL rings. The two seemed about to have a title match for the [[Mexican National Women's Championship]] in early fall of 2012, but it was delayed when Estrellita suffered a hand injury. The match finally took place in November in Guadalajara, where Estrellita defeated Blanca and won her first ever championship.

Estrellita's grandfather was a luchador. Her mother was also a wrestling promoter.
