== Biography ==

Herodes (Victor Góngora, 1950 - ) is one of the great forgotten rudo workers of the 80s.

As a kid, he wanted to be a torero (bullfighter) and at age 8 he'd fight yearling bulls at his grandfather's ranch, but stopped doing so when a cow almost ran over him trying to protect his child. He picked it up again and at age 12 he even was a "Niño Torero" at a circus show, but soon after that he left bullfighting for good.

When he was a bit older he trained boxing in Monterrey and competed in the amateur bantamweight ranks. He won four straight four round fights, and then he moved on to six round fights where he won two more fights. He still wasn't ready, but one day he had to cover for a no-showing fighter in a 10 round fight where he was given such a beating that he decided to give up.

After trying out cycling and baseball, at age 16 he finally settled on lucha libre, training during three years with [[Príncipe Judas]] and [[Antonio Cruz]], and even at some point with [[Diablo Velazco]], debuting on February 24, 1969 at age 18.

He made a name for himself locally and made it to Mexico City in 1977, competing for La Empresa (EMLL) and working at Arena Mexico preliminares from the start with other heavyweight veterans like [[El Nazi]] or [[Raúl Reyes]]. He was considered to be a very good asset, because he was a heavyweight who could move and bump like a wrestler 30 kilos lighter. He had a "Tijera de Oro" gimmick he'd been carrying from Monclova, claiming something like 30 straight "cabellera" wins (the most important one being on November 18, 1977 against [[Enrique Vera]] at [[Arena México]]) until losing to [[Halcón Ortiz]] on September 23, 1981, during an Anniversary show.

On February of 1981 he went to Japan with [[El Cobarde]] to work for IWE, against the likes of [[Mach Hayato]], Mighty Inoue, Higo "Animal" Hamaguchi and Isamu Teranishi. He definitely caused a good impression, as he looked like a Butcher Vachon or Killer Tim Brooks type but moved like a luchador. However, IWE closed down soon thereafter, NJPW only dealed with UWA, and AJPW wasn't interested in junior heavyweights, so he never returned to Japan.

During the 80s he had both the benefit and the problem of being a heavyweight. The benefit was that he'd have a main event spot as long as he showed high quality work or charisma, and he showed both. The drawback was that in EMLL the heavyweights weren't pushed as much as other lighter weights.

He defeated [[Cien Caras]] on March 28, 1982 at Arena Mexico to win the [[National Heavyweight Title]] which he lost to nemesis [[Halcón Ortiz]] at [[Arena Coliseo de Guadalajara]] on June 20 of the same year.

Also around this time he started promoting cards in the north of the country in a partnership with [[Sangre Chicana]], and acted as a talent scout for the company, sending [[Jerry Estrada]] and [[Halcón Negro]] to Mexico City. The Halcón story is a good one, because Herodes was a good friend of his father ([[Dr. Kronos]]) and was even there helping the family during his childbirth.

Herodes could make anyone look good, and his forte was working with young flyer types like [[Stuka]], taking major bumps and being a great catcher for their top-rope moves and dives. His back and knees were shot after a few years, like it happens with all the overweight wrestlers that work that style, but he kept good slots in the carteleras at both Arena Mexico and Arena Coliseo.

When Antonio Peña took over the EMLL booking in 1991 he gave him a crazy man gimmick. He'd wear strange hair cuts and dye his hair with different colours, while showing up dressed like a roman emperor or a boxer and acting like he believed that was what he was. That gimmick failed, but Peña must liked it so much, because he took him to AAA in 1992 and gave him a second chance. On November of 1992 he was put in a team with [[Chavo Guerrero]] and [[Sicodélico]] that was supposed to be the top heel trio in the promotion, building feuds with [[Los Hermanos Dinamita]], [[Perro Aguayo]] and [[Konnan]] (who was supposed to be taking Sicodélico's mask). Herodes' best days as a worker were a thing of the past, nobody remembered Chavo and Sicodélico was just so terrible (and eventually not willing to drop his mask after pressure of his brother [[Mil Máscaras]]) that the team was disbanded quickly and Herodes was the only one they kept around. He was still kept in a respectable position until he was let go in 1994.

In year 2000, out of nowhere, he got a last main event run as El Boricua (a character copied after the original [[Fidel Sierra|El Boricua]], David Sierra, who was never brought back after 1998 since [[Paco Alonso]] broke his business relationship with [[Víctor Quiñones]]). He was part of [[Pierroth]]'s Puerto Rican army, which is funny because Pierroth actually unmasked the original Boricua, and by this point his work so terrible that it was difficult to fathom that at one point he was one of the best working rudos of the country.

With that character he was involved in one of the biggest [[fraude]] scandals in the history of modern lucha libre. On August 13, 2001 he lost his mask to Atlantis at the [[Plaza de Toros Lauro Luis Longoria]] in [[Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas]] unmasking as "Big Von Hamemberg". Two days later he dropped the same mask to Atlantis at [[Arena Celaya]] in [[Celaya, Guanajuato]] and by this point a lot of people knew because of the magazines, which stopped him from losing the mask a third time, now against [[Máscara Sagrada]] at the weekly Monday show at [[Arena Isabel]] in [[Cuernavaca, Morelos]]. The reaction of the crowd, clued in by [[Luchas 2000]] that had come out that same day, was so negative that Boricua just unmasked and they had a regular singles match.

After that, Herodes' name would eventually pop up from time to time at arenas in Monterrey, Puebla or Naucalpan, but we can pretty much affirm that he's now out of the main event scene for good, and his career will be sadly remembered for his big fraude rather than his amazing 80s work.

Emilio Charles Jr. is currently a midcard rudo for CMLL. He's still a solid veteran they seem to trust to hold together matches, but he's not pushed as strongly as years past.

After being a [[Guapo]] and a member of the [[Talibanes]], Emilio has resumed his previous gimmick of being Emilio Charles Jr. (But he still has the Taliban-era music.)

== Biography ==

LA Park is a regular in [[CMLL]]. He's recently turned rudo in [[Mexico City]], but still wrestles as a tecnico in many places and outside of CMLL. When he started his current stint with CMLL, he was presented as a freelancing outsider, and it's unclear if he still maintains that status (or if there's any real meaning to that distinction.)

As a tecnico, LA Park was getting a negative reaction from some of the tecnicos fans in 2006. (It's comparable, though not nearly as loud, as what happened with [[Atlantis]] a year earlier.) On [[April 30]], [[2006]] - a special Kid's Day show at [[Arena Mexico]] - LA Park turned on his partners [[Mistico]], [[Negro Casas]], and [[Heavy Metal]]. Park teased a feud with Mistico and at an alliance with [[Perros del Mal]], but his rudo turn has ended up more focused on a feud with [[Dr. Wagner Jr.]]

LA Park is best known to North American wrestling fans for his stint in World Championship Wrestling, where his trademark was striking his opponents over the head with a chair; thus, the nickname ''Chairman of the Board'' came into play. He is also remembered for his strutting and leg-wiggling dancing.
Adolfo Tapia started wrestling in 1982, but he did not really start making a name for himself until he started wrestling as the masked La Parka in 1992. His costume and mask are a skeleton resembling the outfits used in Mexico's Day of the Dead ceremony. He is a very flamboyant wrestler, sometimes wearing sombreros to the ring, playing guitar on the chair he always brings to the ring, strutting and dancing in the ring, and even strutting on the turnbuckle.

His biggest and longest running feud in Mexico was against Lizmark. They feuded for years. He also feuded with Jerry Estrada, Konnan, Super Calo, La Calaca and Pierroth, Jr. He frequently teamed with Psychosis. He was part of the "When Worlds Collide" joint AAA/WCW PPV in 1994 and wrestled briefly in ECW in 1995.

In 1996, he went to WCW and picked up his feud with Super Calo. He became known as "The Chairman of WCW" because he would hit his opponents with a chair, stand it up and pose on it after strutting. In 1997, he reformed his team with Psychosis with Sonny Onoo as their manager. They feuded with Wrath, Mortis, and Ultimo Dragon. By 1998, he had left Onoo and feuded with Disco Inferno and Psychosis. He was used on some WCW PPV's but never got a push to the top. In June 1998, he tore his ACL in a match after a Goldberg spear. He returned in September and got into some trouble for competing in Mexico without Eric Bischoff's permission.

In November 1998, he joined Eddie Guerrero's Latino World Order (LWO) with Psychosis, Juventud Guerrera, Los Villanos, El Dandy, Silver King, Héctor Garza, Damien, and a reluctant Rey Misterio Jr.. They feuded with Konnan and Perry Saturn. The LWO disbanded in January 1999 when Guerrero was injured in a car accident. La Parka started teaming with Silver King and picked up his feud with Super Calo again. He briefly feuded with Eddie Guerrero upon his return since Eddie caused the LWO to disband.

When Vince Russo and Ed Ferrara took over booking in late 1999, they had Ferrara's voice speaking English over the intercom while La Parka would be doing interviews in Spanish in the ring. The voiceovers would comically explain La Parka was a fan of Skeletor from Masters of the Universe, hence his in-ring wear. This ended after a few weeks when La Parka heard something he did not want said and tossed the mic down as Ferrera was speaking. By early 2000, he had left WCW for Mexico where he had some trouble with the AAA promotion over the use of the La Parka name. They had it trademarked and he did not want to work for them, so he changed his name to L.A. Park and debuted with AAA's rival, Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre. In January of 2004, Park and Shocker defeated Los Guerreros Del Infierno for the CMLL World Tag Team Championship. Rey Bucanero and Último Guerrero would win their titles back in a rematch in March but L.A. Park challenged Último Guerrero for the CMLL Light-Heavyweight title at the CMLL 71st anniversary show but was unsuccessful. He continued wrestling in CMLL as well as independent promotions in Tijuana and else where in the country.

2002 and 2003 saw him wrestle for XPW, All Japan Pro Wrestling, Major League Wrestling and the revived AWA Superstars. In 2004, he made brief appearances in Total Nonstop Action Wrestling, using his chair on his opponents, but was soon back in Mexico teaming with Shocker. In 2005, L.A. Park can be found wrestling in his native Mexico and in the United States for LXW and UCW and occasionally for FCW.

Park debuted for Detroit's Independent Wrestling Revolution (IWR) brand "Revolucha", teaming with American Kickboxer vs. El Hijo del Santo & Konnan, with special referee Zach Gowen. Park continued his rivalry with El Hijo del Santo culminating in May 2006 at Revolucha 2: "Dia de los Muertos" inside "Lucha en la Juala" (a steel cage match). Both Park and Santo had their masks ripped 50% off their faces during this violent cage match. In February 2006, L.A. Park began a bitter feud with then IWR Champion Conrad Kennedy III (CK3). L.A. Park finally defeated CK3 in August 2006 at "Brawl at the Hall" and is currently the IWR/Revolucha Heavyweight Champion.

As of June 2006, he's currently still performing on the CMLL, has become a heel and has had a very successful run of matches on Mexico, mainly due to his current feud with Dr. Wagner Jr., which have a very positive fan reaction. == Biography ==

LA Park is a regular in [[CMLL]]. He's recently turned rudo in [[Mexico City]], but still wrestles as a tecnico in many places and outside of CMLL. When he started his current stint with CMLL, he was presented as a freelancing outsider, and it's unclear if he still maintains that status (or if there's any real meaning to that distinction.)

As a tecnico, LA Park was getting a negative reaction from some of the tecnicos fans in 2006. (It's comparable, though not nearly as loud, as what happened with [[Atlantis]] a year earlier.) On [[April 30]], [[2006]] - a special Kid's Day show at [[Arena Mexico]] - LA Park turned on his partners [[Mistico]], [[Negro Casas]], and [[Heavy Metal]]. Park teased a feud with Mistico and at an alliance with [[Perros del Mal]], but his rudo turn has ended up more focused on a feud with [[Dr. Wagner Jr.]]

LA Park is best known to North American wrestling fans for his stint in World Championship Wrestling, where his trademark was striking his opponents over the head with a chair; thus, the nickname ''Chairman of the Board'' came into play. He is also remembered for his strutting and leg-wiggling dancing.
Adolfo Tapia started wrestling in 1982, but he did not really start making a name for himself until he started wrestling as the masked La Parka in 1992. His costume and mask are a skeleton resembling the outfits used in Mexico's Day of the Dead ceremony. He is a very flamboyant wrestler, sometimes wearing sombreros to the ring, playing guitar on the chair he always brings to the ring, strutting and dancing in the ring, and even strutting on the turnbuckle.

His biggest and longest running feud in Mexico was against Lizmark. They feuded for years. He also feuded with Jerry Estrada, Konnan, Super Calo, La Calaca and Pierroth, Jr. He frequently teamed with Psychosis. He was part of the "When Worlds Collide" joint AAA/WCW PPV in 1994 and wrestled briefly in ECW in 1995.

In 1996, he went to WCW and picked up his feud with Super Calo. He became known as "The Chairman of WCW" because he would hit his opponents with a chair, stand it up and pose on it after strutting. In 1997, he reformed his team with Psychosis with Sonny Onoo as their manager. They feuded with Wrath, Mortis, and Ultimo Dragon. By 1998, he had left Onoo and feuded with Disco Inferno and Psychosis. He was used on some WCW PPV's but never got a push to the top. In June 1998, he tore his ACL in a match after a Goldberg spear. He returned in September and got into some trouble for competing in Mexico without Eric Bischoff's permission.

In November 1998, he joined Eddie Guerrero's Latino World Order (LWO) with Psychosis, Juventud Guerrera, Los Villanos, El Dandy, Silver King, Héctor Garza, Damien, and a reluctant Rey Misterio Jr.. They feuded with Konnan and Perry Saturn. The LWO disbanded in January 1999 when Guerrero was injured in a car accident. La Parka started teaming with Silver King and picked up his feud with Super Calo again. He briefly feuded with Eddie Guerrero upon his return since Eddie caused the LWO to disband.

When Vince Russo and Ed Ferrara took over booking in late 1999, they had Ferrara's voice speaking English over the intercom while La Parka would be doing interviews in Spanish in the ring. The voiceovers would comically explain La Parka was a fan of Skeletor from Masters of the Universe, hence his in-ring wear. This ended after a few weeks when La Parka heard something he did not want said and tossed the mic down as Ferrera was speaking. By early 2000, he had left WCW for Mexico where he had some trouble with the AAA promotion over the use of the La Parka name. They had it trademarked and he did not want to work for them, so he changed his name to L.A. Park and debuted with AAA's rival, Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre. In January of 2004, Park and Shocker defeated Los Guerreros Del Infierno for the CMLL World Tag Team Championship. Rey Bucanero and Último Guerrero would win their titles back in a rematch in March but L.A. Park challenged Último Guerrero for the CMLL Light-Heavyweight title at the CMLL 71st anniversary show but was unsuccessful. He continued wrestling in CMLL as well as independent promotions in Tijuana and else where in the country.

2002 and 2003 saw him wrestle for XPW, All Japan Pro Wrestling, Major League Wrestling and the revived AWA Superstars. In 2004, he made brief appearances in Total Nonstop Action Wrestling, using his chair on his opponents, but was soon back in Mexico teaming with Shocker. In 2005, L.A. Park can be found wrestling in his native Mexico and in the United States for LXW and UCW and occasionally for FCW.

In October 2005 L.A. Park debuted for Detroit's Independent Wrestling Revolution (IWR) brand "Revolucha", teaming with American Kickboxer vs. El Hijo del Santo & Konnan, with special referee Zach Gowen. Park continued his rivalry with El Hijo del Santo culminating in May 2006 at Revolucha 2: "Dia de los Muertos" inside "Lucha en la Juala" (a steel cage match). Both Park and Santo had their masks ripped 50% off their faces during this violent cage match. In February 2006, L.A. Park began a bitter feud with then IWR Champion Conrad Kennedy III (CK3). L.A. Park finally defeated CK3 in August 2006 at "Brawl at the Hall" and is currently the IWR/Revolucha Heavyweight Champion.

As of June 2006, he's currently still performing on the CMLL, has become a heel and has had a very successful run of matches on Mexico, mainly due to his current feud with Dr. Wagner Jr., which have a very positive fan reaction. In one of their most recent matches, which happened on the Arena Mexico in June 9, 2006, L.A. Park won when he faked a foul and Dr. Wagner Jr. was disqualified.

== Controversy over the La Parka gimmick ==
LA Park is the original La Parka from [[AAA]] in the early '90s and the one who was in WCW and XPW. The rights to the gimmick of La Parka have been the subject of court battles since La Parka left AAA; so far, they've ruled that AAA owner [[Antonio Pena]] owns the name and the look, and LA Park can not use the "La Parka" on television in Mexico. (He's allowed to and does use La Parka in the US and elsewhere.) The name L.A. Park means, La Autentica ParK (Where the k is pronounces as ka), so the name means "The Authentic Parka"

Emilio Charles Jr. is currently a midcard rudo for CMLL. He's still a solid veteran they seem to trust to hold together matches, but he's not pushed as strongly as years past.

== Biography ==


Made his pro-wrestling debut on October 11, 2000, teaming with his father Dos Caras to defeat El Azteca and Chiba, in an event promoted by the Japanese independent promotion KAGEKI PRO WRESTLING. This card was held in Shimonoseki and reports said that the junior looked very good for a rookie.

Before turning pro, Caras Jr. was a member of the Mexican national team in Greco-Roman wrestling for five years, and he placed third at the World Junior Championships in 1997 (held in Czech Republic), won the Central-American games three times and also won a medal at the Pan-Am games. He was looking forward to compete in the Sydney 2000 Olympics, but due to lack of support, politics and government problems Mexico could not send any representatives to the Olympic wrestling competition so he turned pro instead.

Made his AAA debut on 9/4 when he ran-in during a match involving his father, that was getting beat up by Texano, Pirata Morgan and Espectro Jr., but his first actual match was on September 29, 2000, in AAA's "Verano de Escándalo" supershow. He teamed with Alebrije, Sangre Chicana and La Parka Jr. to beat "Los Consagrados" (Pirata Morgan, Espectro Jr., El Texano and El Cobarde).

During his first months he has feuded with the veteran stable of "Los Consagrados" and on January 21, 2001, he failed (teaming with his father) to conquer Texano and Pirata Morgan's National Tag Team Titles.

There's no doubt that Dos Caras Jr. is one of the real stars of the future. He's got size, name value, charisma and it looks like he's going to develop into an excellent wrestler.


== Notes ==

Dos Caras Jr. has been pushed as a top heavyweight tecnico since joining [[CMLL]], but he lacks a notable feud at the moment. He's had mini feuds with [[Ultimo Guerrero]], [[Universo 2000]] and [[Kenzo Suzuki]], formed a team with [[Lizmark Jr.]], and done some work as a trio with [[Dr. Wagner Jr.]] and [[Mistico]], but really hasn't had a monumental feud.

Dos is always on the side of good, and pushed as an agile guy for his size. Dos has also done some MMA fighting - sometimes with his mask and sometimes without - and he's incorporated submissions to his fighting style. He's still an unfinished guy in the ring, but he's likely the best of guys in CMLL his size and his age.

The tournament creates 8 or 16 teams of undercard wrestlers with higher profile legends who match them in tecnico/rudo stytle but usually don't team together. The teams meet in a typical single elimination single fall tournament over one or two shows. The winning young wrestler typically gets a reward of being spotlighted in some extra way.

The second tournament started in November. This tournament is diferent from the ones that followed it, because a qualification round led into the tournament. 20 young wrestlers were split into 4 divisions for round robin matchups. Top two from each division moved on to the normal tag team tournamnet, only being assigned partners in that stage.

== Biography ==

Rayo de Jalisco Jr. es uno de los personajes con mas arraigo Mexicano que haya en la lucha libre Azteca. Su debut fue apenas a los 15 años pero debido a su cuerpo y grandes recursos pronto se apodero de los lugares estelares hasta llegar a convertirse en un consagrado de la lucha Nacional.

Su epoca de oro comenzo en los años ochentas en donde a base de su fuerza se apodera de varios Campeonatos nacional y mundial entre los que mas sobresalen son el Semicompleto NWA y el Nacional Completo, ademas de formar fuertes y grandes equipos en compañia de compañeros como Tony Benetto y Ringo Mendoza y ya en epoca mas a los noventas con gente como Atlantis, Lizmark, Canek entre otros.

Sin duda su triunfo mas grande fue el Desenmascarar ante una Arena Mexico a reventar a su rival mas acerrimo en la carrera Cien Caras, una lucha de ensueño por el entorno que la envolvio, la espectacion que causo dicha rivalidad, el empuje de los contendientes hasta llegar ala lucha de apuestas, sin duda una verdera lucha en donde como estocada el Rayo de Jalisco Jr. esa ocasion fue recibido con un sendo guitarrazo en la cabeza para que diera incio a esa lucha, catalogada por muchos como la Lucha del Siglo.

Tambien las lesiones han cobrado factura a este hombre, pues en 1999 tras un Martinete artero de Universo 2000 dura 6 meses inactivo poniendolo al borde del retiro y de la muerte, despues de esto la rivalidad con los Dinamita se agudizó a un punto maximo aunque nunca se llego a un duelo directo de apuestas entre estos hombres. Tambien en la coliseo del DF frente a Mascara Año 2000 estaba en juego el Completo WWA y el Rayo de Jalisco tras intentar ejecutar un tope sobre Mascara 2000 se atora en las cuerdas se va contra el piso de una manera dramatica y brutal provocando una lesion bastante seria en la cabeza del Rayo de Jalisco que despues volvio a seguir adelante tras su recuperacion. A finales del 2005 en la coliseo DF en un Mano a Mano contra Canek el Rayo es presa de los castigos del Tabasqueño en una de las butacas y por la gravedad de los golpes que recibio le quedaron destrozadas las rodillas razon por la cual fue enviado al retiro momentaneo por casi 4 meses.

En el 2005 el Rayo sorprende tras anunciar que se habia echo independiente por el poco trabajo que se le estaba ofreciendo como luchador exclusivo del CMLL y que apartir de este año seria contratado de manera libre. Realizo viajes en este año a partes del mundo como Inglaterra, Francia, España y algunas partes de Asia.

Iniciando el 2007 el Rayo de Jalisco Jr. anuncia su retorno al CMLL y a la Arena Mexico, escenario donde han sido sus mas grandes triunfos en la Lucha Libre. Sin duda un verdero Maestro de la Lucha Libre Mundial y que por mucho ya es catalogado una leyenda de este deporte.

Tras anunciar su regreso al CMLL solo se presento una sola fecha en las plazas del CMLL por que no solo en la Arena Mexico fue marginado de su presentacion, si no tambien de plazas que se consecionan al CMLL como en la Arena Coliseo de Guadalajara y Arena Puebla. Regreso a su actividad de manera Independiente y con el regreso de la empresa de +LLX se integra al elenco que formaba esta empresa para varias presentaciones aunque se desata polemica tras lo empresarios de esta empresa no pagarle a los Luchadores, los peces gordos contratados para esta empresa, entre ellos Rayo de Jalisco Jr. se treusa a presentarse en ella.

Se rumora que en la AAA se presentara un Jr. sorpresa para el eveneto llamadao Triplemania, en el que se celebra un año mas en el medio de la empresa y los mas sonados para que se presenten en ese evento son o Hijo del Santo o Rayo de Jalisco Jr.

El 05 de Mayo del 2007 se presenta por primera vez en compañia de Rayman en la Arena Mexico para enfrentarse a Cien Caras y Cien Caras Jr, su eterno rival en la Lucha Libre. Funcion organizada por la publicacion semanal de LUCHAS 2000, en ese mismo encuentro tambien a los Rayos los acompañaron los Lizmark Sr. y Jr. y por el Lado de Cien Caras e hijo, se acompañaron de Mascara Año 2000 y el debut en esa lucha del Hijo de Mascara 2000.
