Current Champion

Miss Janeth, 19th & 21st (final) Champion

Formerly a championship of UWA, once a belt of Japan joshi promotions, this is now mostly a indy title. Miss Janeth is the most recent champion. She's essentially retired and the belt appears to be the same.

History of Championship

Vickie Williams is the initial champion, but likely was awarded the title with a fictional backstory. Box Y Lucha 1411 mentions Williams defeating Fabolous Moolah "a month ago" (sometime in October) for the title, then immediately being signed to appear in Mexico. Williams is usually listed as defeating Irma Gonzalez for the belt, which may instead be her first title defense (and the first real match for the title.)

  1. Box Y Lucha 1411 tells a story about Williams defeating Moolah for the new title in the US and immediately being signed to appear in Mexico; this appears to be a fictional origin story to give her and the title credibility. Halcon 405 lists the 12.09 match as the start date, though magazines at the time had it as a defense
