CMLL trainer in the early 90s, and given a referee spot after the passing of Gran Davis to be more visible and induce his son Negro Casas to leave UWA and join the rest of the family in the promotion. Pepe Casas jumped to AAA when that promotion founded and became their lead tecncio referee ever since, occasionally involved in storylines with his sons and against evil opposite El Tirantes. He also work as trainer for AAA, though the period he was involved is unclear.

Pepe Casas was officially retired as a referee in 2015. He quietly continues to work in AAA behind the scenes but is rarely seen onscreen.
