IWRG held a tournament for the IWRG Intercontinental Tag Team Championship. Oficial AK-47 did not appear for a scheduled title defense with Oficial 911 against Eterno & Canis Lupus.

The tournament was a one night eight team tournament on December 25. The tournament had a unique format, with all teams entered in a battle royal and the first four teams eliminated being out of the tournament that that point.
