Began his training at the age of 16. His training was for three years before making the exam. Began in small arenas in Monterrey. Started unmasked as Mulato Ruiz. He was suggested to adopt the Black Masked persona which he used for around 7 months. Lost the mask to Máscara Año 2000 early on his career. Retired from active competition on 2007. Former president of Sindicato de Luchadores of Arena Monterrey. Also served as Commissioner in Mexical.
