He had a fierce rivalry with Mano Negra, which resulted in a hair vs mask match, which Demonio lost. After the loss, he had tours in California, Texas and Japan. In 1978, Demonio was offered the gimmick of Robot C3, which was based on C3P0 of Star Wars fame. He proposed that Mario Alcala become his partner as Robot R2. They debuted the gimmick in non-Mexican countries, but when they wanted to come to Mexico, the Mexican Wrestling Comission denied it due to Demonio getting unmasked only a short time before. Instead, the Star Wars themed gimmicks went to Barba Negra and El Rebelde respectively.
He founded his own gymnasium Gimnasio Demonio Blanco and Arena Demonio Blanco in Puerto Vallarta. He also took over a new gimmick in Fantomas. That gimmick was heavily based on the comic book character with the difference that the character was a magician. And true to the name, he often performed magic tricks in the ring. He continued his wrestling career until 1992 when he retired.
